TV presenter Laura Hamilton took to Instagram on Saturday evening after Prime Minister Boris Johnson addressed the nation and announced a second lockdown, which will begin on Thursday. The A Place In The Sun host, who runs her own local eatery with husband Alex Goward, is understandably worried about the news and the impact it will have on her own and other local businesses.
Taking to social media, Laura spoke directly to fans via her Instagram Story.
The mum-of-two began: “I’m just here in my bedroom, on my bed, following the government’s announcement this evening about the lockdown happening on Thursday just thinking…[sigh]!
“As a small business owner we’ve got to get through this again.”
Laura, who runs Lord Roberts on The Green – a vegetarian restaurant in London, went on to say: “Haven’t quite worked out the plan moving forward just yet, but anticipating we are going to carry on with deliveries and take aways and helping the community, as we did before.”
The Channel 4 star continued: “Most importantly, obviously, we need to make sure everyone stays safe… but… we’ve got to get through this.”
On a more positive note, she added: “We will get through this.
“Keep smiling, keep positive and keep safe.”
Returning to the picture-sharing site this morning, Laura posted another update on the cafe.

Her Instagram post said Lord Roberts on the Green would bring back their village shop and “do what we can” to help those in need in the community.
They will also continue to offer a takeaway and delivery service to local residents.
“We are in this TOGETHER,” her post signed off.
