Olly Murs, 37, has taken to Instagram to thank his fans for attending his concerts during the last year. The singer told fans of his knee injury earlier this year, which hindered his performance on Soccer Aid 2021 and affected his performances during his tour dates.
Been tough at times with the old leg haha but we got through it!
The singer posted a video on Instagram, showing snippets of his tour to his 3.6 million followers.
Olly could not look happier while performing on stage in the video, with crowds ecstatic to see the star perform.
He captioned the post: “Love you legends!
“Thanks for an epic tour across the summer!
“Lovely feeling to be out there singing again!”
Olly added: “Been tough at times with the old leg haha but we got through it!
“See you all again next summer when I’ll have a few surprises up my sleeve.”
Fans were quick to comment about the amazing work the singer has done this year.
Some also praised Olly for his on-stage tribute to his late friend Caroline Flack, following her tragic death last year.
Jessmcgeex said: “Aww this is so epic!!
“Ya smashed it and always put on an amazing show every time, even with your bad knee.
“Your tribute to kaz was always so beautiful too, she’d be the proudest.”
Mentalmurs added: “Loved every minute of it, you absolutely smashed it as per.”
In early August, the singer shared a video on Instagram explaining to his fans that he needed an operation after suffering a grim injury on stage.
He said: “Well I’ve just had surgery on my left leg.
“It’s been a mad 72 hours since the gig, getting to this point.
“Basically after my second song a fragment of bone that was in my knee, after I jumped, managed to lodge itself on the back of my knee which basically shut my leg down, and during the gig I was just limping the whole time.
“Couldn’t believe it.”
Since then, Olly was hoping to recover enough in order to play at Soccer Aid 2021, where he was captain this year.
However, he was subbed 14 minutes into the match due to his injury.
Olly has amazed fans by carrying on performing despite his struggles with his knee.
