And in a press release, Prada Beauty stated: ‘Our muse is more than just a muse. More than just a face. More than the perfect embodiment of the Prada woman.
‘She’s the epitome of female modernity, a celebration of female multi-dimensionality across the world. Sophisticated, fiercely feminine, intensely intellectual.
‘She’s everything and its opposite. Always running towards the next version of herself.’
Yann Andrea, Prada Beauty’s international general manager, said: ‘Emma Watson possesses an empowered elegance and a mindful, engaged spirit, determined for positive evolution – the perfect embodiment of Prada’s new feminine fragrance.
‘Her sprawling body of work, from acting to activism, is beyond inspirational, each a signifier of her authenticity and ability to inspire emotion and speak to a young, engaged generation who demand authenticity.’
Making her mark: Formerly, Emma went from pre-teen screen queen to fully-fledged style maven at the age of 20 when she finished the Harry Potter franchise and cut off all of her hair
Formerly, Emma went from pre-teen screen queen to fully-fledged style maven at the age of 20 when she finished the Harry Potter franchise and cut off all of her hair.
She told Metro at the time: ‘I didn’t get to experiment with dyeing and chopping off my hair like most teenagers.
‘I also felt, right, I’m 20, I’m not a little girl any more. I’d been on Harry Potter for ten years so I needed to mark the end of it in some way. I needed a drastic change and that’s what the crop was all about.’
Emma was simultaneously picked as the new face of Burberry at the time, and so began her transformation from child star to Hollywood leading lady.
In 2012 she told The Independent of her pixie cut: ‘That haircut did make me realize how subjective everyone’s opinion is. Some people were crazy for it and some people just thought I’d lost my s**t.
‘All I can do is follow my instincts because I’ll never please everyone. As I’ve got older, and since I cut all my hair off, I’ve felt a bit more liberated about trying different things out.’
