TV and radio star Emma Willis has revealed that she has been asked to take part in BBC ballroom dancing contest Strictly Come Dancing in the past. The presenter would love to be a contestant in the show but has always been too busy with other work commitments.

The 45-year-old is the host of The Voice UK and fronted the second and third series of The Circle, however the Channel 4 reality show was cancelled earlier this year.

Speaking about a potential appearance in Strictly 2021, she said: “If I had time, I would do it in a heartbeat.

“Like I absolutely love it,” she told The Sun.

Emma continued: “I’ve been asked in the past but it’s always the time of year when we’re filming The Voice and The Circle.

“The Circle is not happening this year, but let’s hope The Voice is — otherwise I will be doing Strictly.”

Last year, the live semi-finals of the ITV singing show took place in January and February, following the earlier blind auditions.

Strictly Come Dancing tends to run from August to December.

In addition to aforementioned presenting gigs, the mum-of-three is about to launch a new series.

Cooking with the Stars will make its debut tonight.

Emma and her co-host Tom Allen front the show which sees a series of famous faces take part in a cookery contest.

Coincidentally, the line-up includes Strictly head judge Shirley Ballas, 60, and a former champion.

She is joined by former Coronation Street actress Catherine Tyldesley, 37, TV star Denise Van Outen, 47, and comedian Johnny Vegas, 50.

Harry Judd, 35, who is a friend of her husband Matt Willis, won Strictly in 2011.

The McFly drummer joined forces with the Busted star back in 2013 to create supergroup McBusted.

The pop group were together for two years before parting ways.

Just last week, Emma and Matt celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary.

She took to social media to share a selfie of the pair to mark the occasion with a sweet snap.

“Happy anniversary @mattjwillis entering our 13th year as a married couple.

“Some say 13 is unlucky… I say, as long as I’ve got you, I’m the luckiest girl around. Love you babe…” she wrote in view of her 1.8 million followers.

The couple are the proud parents of Isabelle, 12, Ace, nine, and Trixie, five.

In addition to sharing family updates online, Emma has also teased another TV venture, making her chances of starring in Strictly pretty slim.

She has joined forces with AJ Odudu to host a programme for the W Channel.

“New series coming soon to @wtvchannel! I #GetToWork everyday with @ajodudu, helping families all over the UK to get their businesses back up and running,” the star informed fans.

Cooking with the Stars airs at 9pm tonight on ITV.
