Broody Gemma Collins has told her former Dancing On Ice co-star Brian McFadden she is "happy to babysit" his newborn daughter "anytime".

The 40-year-old’s comments come after she revealed she is “determined” to have a baby this year.

The former TOWIE star took to Instagram to congratulate Brian on welcoming his baby daughter with his fiancée Danielle Parkinson, after he announced the happy news.

Under Brian's black and white snap of Dani pushing a pram, Gemma commented: “Oh my gosh congratulations,” alongside a series of red heart emojis.

She then added: “I love you both happy to baby sit anytime.”

Brian captioned the post: “Mammy, Daddy and baby out for our first walk together. It’s been the best week of our life @daniparky” alongside a red heart emoji.

Other famous faces who were quick to congratulate the former Westlife singer and teacher Dani included presenter Laura Whitmore, former Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington and Boyzone star Shane Lynch.

Laura, who recently welcomed a baby girl of her own with her husband Iain Stirling, wrote: “Congrats! X” while Becky added: “Awww huge congratulations xxx”.

Meanwhile dad-of-two Shane commented on the post with a series of gold medal emojis.

As well as his newborn daughter, Brian is also dad to daughters Molly, 19 and Lilly-Sue, 18, with his former wife, Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona.

When Brian and Dani exclusively announced their pregnancy news to OK! last year, the star admitted it will be his first time changing nappies after being busy on tour when his elder daughters were born.

Asked if he was ready for changing dirty nappies again, Brian said: “This is going to be the first time I’ve done it.

“When both of the girls were born, I was in the middle of Westlife, so I didn’t really get to do any of that. I was always on stage or working.

“I didn’t get to see that day to day. I’m really looking forward to experiencing all of that.”

Back in January, Gemma vowed to start a family this year after experiencing her third heartbreaking miscarriage in lockdown.

Speaking on her self-titled BBC podcast, Gemma said: "How will I feel about 2021 this time next year? Well, I hope I’m married, I hope I have a baby this year – I feel that it’s going to happen for me."

She added: "My main focus this year will be to really be comfortable being Gemma Collins, and definitely committing and giving quality time to a relationship and hopefully I’m going to have a baby."

Gemma and Brian became friends whilst competing in the 2019 series of Dancing on Ice. While Gemma was the fifth celebrity to be eliminated, Brian placed fourth.

As he previously opened up about their friendship to OK!, Brian said he will be inviting the GC to his and Danielle’s nuptials when they happen.
