Gina starred as managing partner Jessica Pearson in the hit legal drama alongside Meghan, who played paralegal Rachel Zane, for seven seasons. She then went on to star as the titular character in the show’s spin-off series Pearson. She was a guest at Meghan’s wedding to Prince Harry three years ago, along with the rest of the main cast, and stunned in a vibrant red dress and hat.
However, she admitted in 2019 that she no longer speaks to Meghan.
She explained that when you are an actor, you work with hundreds of people on a show and you are never going to be able to stay in touch with everyone.
She said she always enjoyed working with Meghan, but that they were on “different trajectories” in their lives and careers even before she met her prince.
Gina told Glamour: “No, I’m not in touch with Meghan. There’s no story in why I’m not in touch with Meghan.
“What I will say is ‒ if I could offer a window into what it is to be an actor and live this crazy life ‒ when you’re an actor, you meet hundreds of people during your career.
“The public only sees the characters that are on TV, but there are hundreds of people that make a show happen.
“If you’re fortunate enough of an actor as I am, that has had a varied career, you can’t bring all those people with you.”
Gina is also known for playing the role of Zoe Washburne in the science fiction series Firefly and its feature film sequel Serenity in the early 2000s.
She has also appeared in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, as well as supporting roles in numerous TV shows including Xena: Warrior Princess, Gossip Girl, The Vampire Diaries, Hannibal, Westworld and The Shield.
With a long and illustrious career, she will have worked with a multitude of actors, crew and production staff.
She added: “There are people you have immediate and incredible chemistry with that you align with throughout the years, that are sustainable relationships.
“I enjoyed Meghan when we worked together. We had a great time as we worked together.

“We bore witness to a great many things in each other’s lives while we worked together.
“But we were also in very different places in our lives and in our careers.
“Would she have been one of the people I would have had a sustainable relationship with years later if this phenomenon had not happened?
“I don’t know. Perhaps not, because we were on such different trajectories.

“And there are others that you do, and there are others that you don’t.
“It’s a no-harm, no-foul thing. I got to absolutely give her my love and my best and wish her nothing but happiness at the wedding, and that’s the end of the story.”
Meghan also invited their other co-stars to her wedding to Harry in 2018.
This included her on-screen husband Patrick J Adams and Abigail Spencer, who also attended Meghan’s New York baby shower in 2019.
Also on the guest list was Sarah Rafferty, Gabriel Macht and Rick Hoffman.
The last episode she starred in ‒ her wedding to Patrick’s character Mike Ross ‒ had aired just months before.
