What an idiot Tilly!

Tilly shared her response and a clip of the LBC show, including Steve Allen’s rant to her 1 million followers.

She said: “I try not to read and listen to comments and negativity however recently being called out on a national radio station by a 67-year-old man is a step too far.

“Steve please feel free voice your opinions however I draw the line at commenting on my appearance.”

She added: “But please remember that words can hurt and at the end of the day I am only 19 and I’m so grateful for all the amazing opportunities that I have been able to take part in.”

Gordon’s friends were quick to offer support to the young Strictly star.

First Dates Fred Sirieix, who stars in a television series with Gordon, said: “What an idiot he is Tilly!

“His type are and will always be around.

“Let them talk and keep dancing xxx.”

Masterchef’s Melissa Leong added: “You handled this ugliness with grace.

“You are kind, smart, strong and beautiful.

“Losers focus on winners, winners focus on winning. Keep winning x.”

Gordon’s previous Chef Patron Clare Smyth said: “Go Tilly!!!”

Masterchef Australia’s Zon Frillo commented: “Oh Steve, how does it feel to be a 67-year-old bully?

“I was actually speechless when I heard this. More and more people aren’t owning their words and have no regard for the lasting impact they can have.

“This guy should be the one taking a good hard look at himself, and good on you for calling him out.

“You’re gorgeous Tilly – from the moment anyone meets you they are drawn to your warmth, energy and humour.”

In the clip of the LBC radio show Tilly shared to her one million followers, host Steve Allen was discussing Tilly’s role on Masterchef Australia.

He said: “Is she? Well, she can’t bloomin’ well dance.

“I’m bored with her already. She’s a chubby little thing, isn’t she? Have you noticed?

“Probably her dad’s cooking, I should imagine.”
