Love Island’s Francesca Allen reveals she ‘didn’t have a warm welcome into the villa’ and ‘felt like an outsider’

Dumped islander Francesca Allen has opened up on her experience on Love Island, claiming she didn’t have a warm welcome on the show.

The 23 year old, who entered the villa alongside Chris Taylor as a bombshell, was dumped with Michael after being voted the least compatible.

However, Francesca has now claimed that she felt “left out” by her fellow female islanders when arriving.

Speaking to MailOnline, she admitted: “I struggled quite a lot when I first went in there, I didn’t have the warmest of welcomes, seeing as I was so excited to get to know everyone and get chatting.

“But I didn’t have the warmest of welcomes. So Ovie really helped me through everything, he was like: ‘It's alright, it's just like that at first.’”

Francesca added that she’s “not a horrible person” and that it was a “shame” that it took the girls so long to warm to her.

She explained: “I did a little, it was a shame it took them a little while to warm to me, I’m not a horrible person – I would always make everyone and anyone feel welcome.”

It comes after the star addressed her rumoured feud with Caroline Flack.

Reports claimed the awkward moment was stemmed after it was revealed that Francesca had called Caroline a “dirty paedo” to her face in 2012, years before they came face-to-face on Love Island.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Francesca addressed the situation with fans, revealing she stood up prematurely and that Caroline didn’t actually shun her.

“It’s all a learning curve. Me and Caroline get along really well. I don’t use Twitter and those words didn’t come out of my mouth. It’s all getting blown out of proportion.

“Me and Caroline had a little drink and a chat after Aftersun. So yeah, we get along really well. I don’t know what this is all about!”
