Love Island’s Joanna claims ITV edited out vital scenes between her and Amber

Joanna Chimonides has accused Love Island producers of editing out important scenes between her and Amber Gill, which could have changed the public's perception of their love rivalry.

The two girls were caught in a jealous row over Michael Griffiths, who decided to couple up with Joanna while Amber was away in Casa Amor.

Furious Amber branded Joanna a "dead ting" on her return to the villa, sparking a bitter row in which Michael called her "childish".

But Joanna – who got dumped from the villa last week after she and Michael were voted the least favourite couple – now says she and Amber's friendship blossomed in unaired scenes.

"My personality wasn't shown as much throughout my time in there, but also mine and Amber’s relationship wasn’t shown enough," she told Metro .

"We really got along. We did each other's makeup and hair, and it would have been nice for viewers to see that."

Joanna could be reunited with Michael very soon, as the villa is set to be hit by an explosive double dumping in tonight's episode, which could leave him at risk of being booted out.

And Joanna's going to need to have a big chat with him to clear the air, having watched him confess to Amber he still has feelings for her less than a day after Joanna left.

"All in all I was disappointed in Michael," she went on. "He couldn't be honest with me or Amber, it’s the lack of communication that gets me.

"When I questioned things, it was because there are always still feelings there when you split with someone and the fact he was denying it made me think, 'you're not being truthful'."

Michael is yet to apologise to Joanna for the way he treated her, having told her just before she left that he'd "found everything I've been looking for in the villa".

But he refused to fly home to the UK with her, saying instead he'd remain in the villa until he was kicked out.

This resulted in Joanna calling him a "f**king snake" as she pushed past him to say goodbye to the other Islanders.

And she's continued to be vocal about her feelings since landing back in the UK, thanking Amber on Instagram for not picking Michael at the last recoupling on Friday.

Instead, Amber chose new boy Greg O'Shea, who promised to spoil her after her troublesome time in the villa.

"I am actually really proud of her, I'm not going to lie," Joanna said of her former love rival on Instagram straight after the recoupling.

"That was probably one of the hardest decisions that she was going to have to make and she did so well. Good on her!"
