Nicole Scherzinger Gives Hawaiian Protesters A Boost With Surprise Visit to Mauna Kea

Following the footsteps of Jason Momoa and Dwayne Johnson, the former lead of The Pussycat Dolls tells activists that Prince would be very proud of their efforts to halt the telescope construction.

AceShowbizNicole Scherzinger has returned to her Hawaiian roots to support activists protesting the construction of a massive telescope on sacred Mauna Kea.

Jason Momoa and Dwayne ‘The Rock‘ Johnson previously joined the protesters and now Nicole has stepped in.

She made a surprise visit to the dormant volcano site to support those opposed to the telescope on Sunday (August 18).

The Hawaiian native, 41, performed a rendition of Prince‘s “Purple Rain”, and teared up as she told the activists her late friend would be very proud of their efforts to halt construction.

The former The Pussycat Dolls star also posted shots of herself on an Oahu beach at sunset on social media, adding the caption: “Face to face with the sun. She’s home.”
