Prince Charles releases very 2021 Christmas card as he helps wife Camilla adjust her face mask

Prince Charles and Camilla have released their official Christmas card for 2021, which captures a sweet moment between the couple that feels very appropriate for the times.

The photo, which was taken at Royal Ascot in June, shows the heir to the throne helping his wife with her face mask during the race.

The Royal Family send festive cards out to family, friends, staff members and world leaders each year, with Prince William and wife Kate revealing their family Christmas card, which was taken in Jordan, earlier this week.

In their Christmas card, Prince Charles looks smart in a grey three-piece suit, which he pairs with a white shirt, a lavender tie and a light purple pocket square.

The Duchess of Cornwall also looks stylish, wearing an embroidered cream dress with a matching hat.

The photo depicts Charles, who is already wearing his black face mask, gently extending a hand to help his wife fix the mask behind her ear.

It comes after the couple released a message earlier this week, urging people to get vaccinated.

“It is the most enormous tribute to the remarkable ingenuity and determination of everyone involved that, one year after the first COVID-19 vaccination, more than a hundred million doses have now been delivered,” Charles and Camilla said in a message released on 8 December.

“We can only offer our most heartfelt thanks and congratulations to all the scientists, volunteers and workers across the NHS who have helped bring about this extraordinary achievement.

"And to all those who have not yet had the vaccine – or are hesitating before getting a booster – we can only urge you to look at the evidence in our intensive care wards and listen to those who work there.

"People who are unvaccinated are at least 10 times more likely to be hospitalised or die than those who have had two vaccine doses. That is why we urge everyone to get vaccinated and to take up the booster, as we have done ourselves.”

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also shared their annual Christmas card featuring children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis this week.
