Another show-stopping number by the pro’s this weekend. I know some people took to social media to ask why Katya [Jones] was in this week’s group dance due to her being out after testing positive for Covid.

I can confirm all of this year's group numbers were pre-recorded months before the live show began.

I have to admit I am absolutely in love with Anton [du Beke] being on the judging panel. Anton needs to be made a full-time judge, he’s been the highlight of the series so far.

If I was Bruno, I’d be getting back from America as soon as possible before he starts to eye his seat as well!

Ranvir [Singh] absolutely incredible, a ten out of 1ten for her image and the way she kept her intensity and passion for Giovanni [Pernice] throughout.

Argentine Tango needs to ideally execute a very sharp leg action through her thighs, knees and feet fast retraction. Argentine Tango also requires relationship between floor and feet contact through the floor whilst brushing and caressing both feet in between weight transfers and transitions.

Although I absolutely loved the overall dance I felt it was a little exposing but could appreciate how hard Ranvir worked this week to achieve this routine, ten points for effort. Not a easy dance to deliver by female celebrity.

It’s such a shame Clara [Amfo] made quite a few obvious mistakes in her Samba, hopefully she will not have to do this again in the dance off. Clara looked fantastic as always, she really lights up the floor when she comes on and always pleasantly surprises me.

HRVY and Janette [Manara’s] Tango was fabulous. I just love these two, although a little to rattlely through the frame toward the end for my liking. It was sexy, cool and attacking and contemporary. I loved, loved, loved it! They were my favourite couple of the night.

Jamie [Laing] and Karen [Hauer] were clearly in their own zone and element on Saturday night. I expected nothing less from these two in this category. Brilliant execution and very entertaining.

It was very together, energetic and displayed great timing. Not as technically demanding as the other ballroom and Latin dances but that's the joy of being able to have Couples Choice; to be able to celebrate all genres of dance and enjoy freedom of movement.

JJ [Chalmers] and Amy [Dowden] are improving every week. They had clean lines nice choreography. The sone was great track and the performance lovely to watch.

But, I feel JJ needs to come out and surprise us next week. His performances and very graceful, safe and polite which is nice to watch but it won't hold up for much longer as the competition is getting fiercer. I want to see a little more bite, depth and intensity to his routines I want to see more vigour and drive.

I really love watching Oti [Mabuse] and Bill [Bailey] out of hold, doing their thing and free-styling side by side. It was very together and entertainment however, when they take hold for me it lost fluidity, drive and energy.

Bill was a little too tight and upright in the ballroom hold. A little more breath and dropping weight down through his shoulders into the floor will allow Bill to look more at ease but still such a classy, classic American Smooth.

Maisie [Smith] and Gorka [Marquez] had a very difficult routine with lift, after lift, after lift.

Overall, it was fun, colourful , earthy and rhythmical – everything Salsa should be. But, I would like to see Maisie straighten her legs much more during the lift section to create cleaner lines. Maisie made this routine look effortless and it was certainly not an easy one to execute.
