Strictlys Shirley Ballas accidentally tucks into dog food

Shirley Ballas, 62, has taken to Instagram in a post where she confessed she accidentally indulged in dog food. The star admitted she found, to her surprise that she actually enjoyed it.

She explained how she mistook her dog’s biscuits for her own selection of nuts.

The Strictly judge sent the post out to her 244,000 Instagram followers.

She wrote in the story caption: “When you’re getting ready and you’ve got some nuts and you had the dog’s biscuit but you just picked it up and crunched the dog’s biscuit instead of the nuts.

“And that – just to show my day.”

The star then went on to say the brand, Win A Lot, could go on to fast become her own favourite biscuit as well as her dog’s.

“So anyway I have to say that a Win A Lot biscuit is, well it’s Charlie’s favourite.

“But actually it could fast become my favourite too.

“It wasn’t bad. I had my handful of nuts, instead I’ve chomped that.”

She concluded by saying: “Oh dear Shirley.”

It comes after Shirley has been forced to fend off rumours that she is imminently expected to be axed from Strictly Come Dancing.

The head judge took to Instagram to clarify how she really feels about claims that she is due to get the sack, following a backlash she has received from some viewers over favouritism claims towards the BBC show’s male contestants.

There was an online furore recently after she was accused of expressing favouritism towards the male celebs.

Reportedly, she could even get a bit flirtatious – something that Will Mellor has cheerily admitted he reciprocates if it could get him one step closer to the final.

However, she insists that there is no truth in the rumours that she might be getting fired.

Despite a magazine cover suggesting otherwise, she declared the claim an “absolute load of rubbish”.

“Sells papers, I guess! @bbcstrictly,” she groaned in her Instagram Story yesterday.

Meanwhile, Shirley was also in the mood for publicly celebrating the long stint she’d had in the dancing world.

She mused: “Huge thank you to my legs for carrying me through dance for over 60 years.”
