Earlier this week, Victoria Beckham showed off her tiny carb-free lunch and compared it to son Romeo’s burger and chips.

Revealing the pair were on set together, Victoria, 46, posted two snaps of the pair’s completely different lunches and compared her super healthy plate to her 18 year old son’s treat from In-N-Out Burger.

Victoria’s lunch looked small, consisting of just a few slices of smoked salmon and avocado.

According to Clinical Nutritionist, Mike Wakeman, from the evidence backed personalised nutrition service,www.vitmedics.com, Victoria’s lunch would have been too small to fuel a busy afternoon if the star planned on exercising.

“The portion sizes appear on the small side, so for a lunch, this definitely sits in the ‘light lunch or snack category,” Mike explains. “Clearly, the main issue is what else Victoria eats throughout the day. It wouldn't be a suitable lunch if someone planned to exercise in the afternoon."

Mike goes on to explain that low carb diets can be fine if “done properly.” He adds: “Given her interest in health and wellbeing, I’m sure she has good advice.

Still, Victoria’s lunch is full of lots of nutrients. Mike says: “Avocados are a rich source of phytonutrients and magnesium as well as vitamins C, E, B6 , K, and folate and other B vitamins and vitamin A, but at lower levels.

“Also the salmon is clearly a good source of omega 3 fatty acids, and the avocado also contains monounsaturated fatty acids, so from a healthy fats perspective the choice is a good one.”

Victoria posted the picture of her lunch last week and teased she was “on set” with her second oldest son Romeo. The teen appeared to have gone all out for lunch getting one of the famous burger chain’s burgers and two portions of fries, one of which was ‘animal style’ and topped with In-N-Out Burger’s signature sauce and melted cheese.

The post that followed was a snap of Victoria small plate which featured sliced avocado, smoked salmon and three slices of lemon.

The fashion designer captioned the post: “And lunch on set for me,” alongside a star-eyed emoji.

The former Spice Girl is known for adopting an incredibly healthy diet, and she reportedly didn’t touch carbs for 20 years.

Victoria is said to have broken her no-carbs rule last year after husband David Beckham started creating homemade pizzas during lockdown using their woodfire oven.

But her latest post suggests she is well and truly back on the healthy eating bandwagon and is sticking to foods high in antioxidants.
