Tammy Slaton has been showered with praise from fans after showing off her weight loss on Instagram.

The 1000Lb Sisters star has given viewers a front row seat into her efforts in the current season of the TLC program, after a terrifying health scare.

Her hard work didn’t go to waste and she was able to go from 717lbs to 534lbs, meaning she qualified for surgery.

Taking to Instagram, the 36-year-old shared a string of snaps from a recent sunny day out, revealing her transformation with followers.

Followers couldn’t get enough of the pictures, and flooded the comments section below with supportive messages.

‘I think I speak for everyone when I say WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU,’ an Instagram user replied.

‘Gotta admit Tammy, you proved a whole lot of us wrong. Way to go & keep it up [sic],’ another agreed.

‘Tammy you are doing an AWESOME job! So much to congratulate you on. Surgery, Weight loss, and marriage,’ one penned.

A fan cheered: ‘Omg Tammy you look amazing! And no more trach! I have cried on every episode this season! You freakin did it girl! I am so proud of you! [sic].’

As a commenter added: ‘We are rooting for you Tammy! You deserve a good life. Never let anyone tell you otherwise.’

Tammy sparked concern last year when she was rushed to hospital in the season finale of 1000Lb Sisters series three, shortly after she arrived at a weight loss facility.

Doctors urged her family to prepare for the worst, explaining that her body was ‘shutting down’.

She later woke up and returned to the rehab center, vowing to make serious changes to her lifestyle.

In a recent episode, the TLC star became emotional when she realized that her efforts were paying off, and she had lost nearly 200lbs.

‘I did that! I’m feeling thrilled, proud, excited – just all the emotions,’ she told the cameras.

‘I proved everybody wrong. Everybody that doubted me, I finally got my told-you-so moment!’

Discussing her health with People Magazine, Tammy insisted that she had learned a lot from her hospital stay.

‘My near-death experience has taught me not to take life for granted,’ she said. ‘I now live my life how I want to and not how others want me to.

‘It has also mellowed me out. I try harder to not get mad as easily and try to figure out a way around the situation.

‘I’m grabbing the bull by the horns and taking control of my life again and not letting my body defeat me.’

‘I told y’all that this wasn’t the end of me,’ she added. ‘The new and improved Tammy is on the way.’
