A$AP Rocky's mum says rapper is 'not ok' in prison: 'He wants to come home'

A$AP Rocky’s mum has said the rapper is ‘not OK’ after finally speaking to him for the first time in almost a month.

The star is in jail in Sweden after getting arrested on 3 July over his alleged involvement in a street fight between his security team and two men.

His mother Renee Black managed to talk to him last week and told TMZ in a clip: ‘He’s not ok. He’s not alright, he wants to come home.’

She said she’d hoped that Donald Trump‘s involvement in the campaign to free her son might get A$AP released on bail.

But as the rapper continues to remain in prison, she believes his treatment could be racially motivated.

‘I feel like Sweden is making an example out of him and it’s so unjust. I don’t want to pull the race card but that’s what it’s looking like,’ she said.

Renee added: ‘If they walk like a duck and they quack like a duck then it’s a duck.’

Trump had said during a recent press conference that he is speaking to Swedish authorities to try and get A$AP released after his wife Melania Trump asked him to step in.

Even Kim Kardashian and Kanye West got involved in the campaign, lobbying Trump to get involved in the effort to get A$AP back to the USA.

A$AP has been detained in Sweden following a fight with two men who he claims wouldn’t stop following the rapper and harassing his crew.

He posted video footage of the alleged incident on Instagram which he claims proves it was the two men who started the incident and later had to cancel a string of concerts due to being held by police.

New reports suggested he could be held for a further week while authorities continue their investigations but several celebrities have spoken out to get him home.
