'LOVE DEATH + ROBOTS' Is Back for a Second Volume This May

LOVE DEATH + ROBOTS is back for a second volume on Netflix this May.

Returning to deliver more adult animated features are show creator Tim Miller and director David Fincher, both now joined by the Oscar-nominated Jennifer Yuh Nelson as supervising director and producer Joshua Donen. While plot details remain scarce, the show is said to feature “Naked giants, Christmas demons, and robots-gone-wild” through “a blend of styles and stories ranging from violent comedy to existential philosophy.”

“We couldn’t have been happier at the response to the show,” Miller said when recounting the success of the first season. “It was exactly the kind of passionate reception from animation fans David and I hoped for, but for many long years had been told wouldn’t happen.”

Aside from offering a glimpse of what the second volume will entail, the trailer also confirmed that a third volume will arrive in 2022, though no specific date was provided for its release.

For fans of the series, LOVE DEATH + ROBOTS Volume 2 will arrive on Netflix May 14.

Elsewhere in entertainment, Hulu has ordered a How I Met Your Mother sequel starring Hilary Duff.
