Amazon is offering £10 credit to spend at UK small businesses for Prime Day

If sales are your thing, you're probably looking forward to all that's in store this month.

Retail giant Amazon recently announced that the iconic Prime Day sale event will be going ahead this year, taking place on June 21 and June 22.

For bargain -savvy shoppers who can't wait until the two day shopping extravaganza, Amazon is running a promotion to help show their support to small businesses, with a little gift for those spending.

Starting today (June 7) right through to June 20 customers can get £10 worth of Amazon credit to spend on June 21 and June 22 when they buy from a small business – which includes products from Amazon Handmade and Amazon Launchpad.

To make it easy for you to support small businesses this Prime Day, Amazon has curated collections of small businesses on the dedicated storefront which can be found here at Amazon Storefronts.

To take advantage of this offer you'll need to be a Prime member, if you aren't a member yet, you can sign up for free here and once activated you'll be eligible for the deal.

If this is your first time signing up, you'll be able to sign up for 14 days free with a trial, just remember to cancel the day before your subscription ends to avoid any unwanted charges.

When Prime Day eventually starts on June 21, customers will be able to spend their £10 voucher across all categories on Amazon including household items, beauty, fashion and much more.

This year, more than 300,000 sellers globally are eligible for the promotion – more than twice as many as last year – giving customers more opportunities to support small businesses.

But the good news doesn't stop there. For a limited time, customer can also get £7 worth of Amazon credit when they upload at least one photo through the Amazon Photos app for the first time.

If you're looking for a belated Father's Day gift, Amazon Prime Day is a great excuse to do some shopping for the special man in your life.
