Kate, George and William were present when England lost to Italy on penalties last night. England scored once during the game, in the first two and a half minutes.
It was a goal that sent waves of joy across the UK.
The royals celebrated too, with William jumping to his feet and pumping his fists in the air.
Prince George, seven, celebrated by cheering before jumping into his mother’s arms.
Twitter users responded to the moment. One wrote: “I can’t, this is the cutest, I’m melting.”

It was an important event for the royals, who attended previous games in the tournament.
George wore a suit and tie to the match, as he had before, although some fans were not keen on the ensemble, suggesting a football shirt would have been more appropriate.
One wrote on Twitter: “Who dresses a child like that for a football match?”
“Prince George should have been allowed to wear an England shirt rather than a mini adult jacket and tie!” one wrote.
Kate Middleton wore patriotic white and red for the event. She dressed fairly casually in a white blazer over a t-shirt.
She wore black jeans with a belt and bright red, large earrings.
She underwent a transformation, changing between the finals of Wimbledon and Wembley, a busy day for the royal.
