Khloé Kardashian may not have her own makeup empire like sisters Kylie Jenner or Kim Kardashian, but she’s definitely picked up some tips and tricks.
The reality star, 35, revealed how she goes from makeup-free to fully ready to film “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” in a video with Vogue and, unsurprisingly, the clip focusing heavily on contouring, a favorite technique of her family’s.
Though Khloé does contour her entire face using sister Kim’s “rule of three,” she particularly focuses on whittling down her nose with a clever combo of shadows and highlights, admitting she sometimes goes a bit overboard with her application.
“One of my favorite things is nose contour, but this does stress me out a bit,” she said. “In person and how cameras reflect and light, everything looks different. Sometimes I will contour my nose and in real life I think I look so good, and then in photos I look crazy.”
After using KKW Beauty concealer ($18) around her nose and setting it with Kylie Cosmetics translucent setting powder ($24), Khloé completes her “nose contour for dummies” with a MAC palette ($39.50) that she claims to have owned for 10 years. “That’s maybe not the most sanitary. But I haven’t died yet,” she quipped.
The “Revenge Body” host also contours her jawline. “When you have had a baby and you’re working on losing weight but you still haven’t lost that weight, your face just feels so big,” she explained.
Khloé’s daughter True Thompson, 1, makes many adorable appearances in the video, and Khloé even claps back once again at criticism of her statement-making manicure.
“I’ve had long nails for 100 years. Everyone told me, ‘When you have a baby you have to have short nails, this is gross, you can’t take care of your child,’” the star recalled, adding, “If I could wipe my own ass, I could wipe my child’s ass. I’m actually looking at hers, so it’s a lot easier.”
Khloé also took the opportunity to poke fun at her supermodel sister Kendall Jenner‘s beauty routine (“Woe is f—king me, I’m so beautiful,” she joked) as well as those of high-maintenance moguls Kim and Kylie (“[Makeup] is such an art and it’s so much f—king work”).
And while her father, the late Robert Kardashian, may have gifted her sisters beauty lessons — “No one ever bought me makeup classes, if you can’t tell,” she quipped — Khloé claimed she can do her own look in 20 minutes or less, which helps when she’s spending most of her life in front of the camera.
“Stuff breaks out in this family all the time, so you just always wanna be cute and prepared — even in trauma or tragedy you wanna look good,” she concluded.
