Morrisons update customers on running of stores in pandemic
With Christmas just around the corner, many supermarket delivery slots have already been snapped up. In his latest MoneySavingExpert.com Money Tips email, Martin Lewis explained how to get a last minute slot booked in.
Supermarkets including Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons released Christmas delivery dates as far back as November.
Shoppers were able to pre-order festive favourites to be delivered in the days running up to Christmas.
With Britons getting into the Christmas spirit, many supermarket slots were booked in straight away.
However, Martin has explained there are still some ways to get items delivered in time for Christmas.

He said: “Most have sold out, but we’ve a couple of ways you can still bag ’em (and get them to bag ’em for you).”
Shoppers can still pick up mince pies, Brussels sprouts and mulled wine from some big name supermarkets.
Christmas delivery slots are only available six days in advance, Martin explained.
With deliveries available until December 23, shoppers still have a few days to get their orders in.
Booking with Iceland comes with a minimum spend of £25.
The retailer has also released Christmas delivery slots closer to the big day.
Customers can book five days in advance and order for delivery to come as late as Christmas Eve.
Delivery is only available from selected stores and there is a minimum spend of £15.
Sainsbury’s, Aldi, Morrisons and more
Last minute shoppers will be able to get their orders in using Deliveroo, Martin continued.
The food delivery service is partnered with supermarkets including Sainsbury’s, Aldi, Morrisons and Co-op.
The service is offered in various locations across the country and offers quick same day delivery.
However, it may not be the best option for those hoping to get their full Christmas dinner shop as there are limited options available.
For example, Aldi offers 150 items from its range while shoppers can pick from 300 Morrisons products.
The service is only available in certain locations and customers can check their postcode on the Deliveroo app.
