Sara Davies, 36, is the founder and owner of Crafter’s Companion. She is also well-known for appearing on Dragon’s Den, which returns to BBC One for its eighteenth series tonight.

Sara Davies is a successful businesswoman who has accumulated a whopping fortune over the years.

She has a net worth of £37million, according to Insider Growth.

The entrepreneur is a judge on Dragon’s Den and will appear on the show tonight at 8pm.

The programme’s other Dragons are Deborah Meaden, Peter Jones, Touker Suleyman, and Tej Lalvani.

Sara was born in Coundon, in County Durham in the north of England, in 1984.

She studied Business at the University of York and graduated with a first class degree.

While at university in 2005, Sara founded Crafter’s Companion, a crafter’s supply company.

During a work placement at a small craft company, the entrepreneur realised there was a gap in the market for a tool that could create bespoke envelopes for handmade cards.

By the time she graduated, Sara’s business was turning over £500,000.

Fast forward a few years to 2019 and Crafter’s Companion exports to more than 40 countries and employs 200 people worldwide.

In 2019, it was reported that Crafter’s Companion had turned over almost £25million the previous year.

In 2015, Sara began her career in television, hosting Local Television Limited’s craft show, Be Creative.

In April 2019, the businesswoman joined BBC’s Dragon’s Den as one of the Dragons, becoming the show’s youngest ever investor.

Speaking to the BBC at the time, Sara said: “I’ve been a fan of the show since it started.

“I was even invited to pitch on the show 13 years ago, so it feels like I’ve come a full circle.”

Sara was appointed MBE in the 2016 New Year Honours list for her services to the British economy.

Additionally, in 2010, the businesswoman was awarded the Ernst & Young Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Sara keeps her personal life relatively private, but she does sometimes share images of her two sons on her Instagram page, such as when they make crafts together as a family.

Sara lives with her children and her husband Simon – whom she married in September 2007 – in Teeside.
