Student sneaks cat into class because it didn't want to be left alone

Pet owners know how difficult it is to leave our beloved cats and doggos behind as we head out for the day.

But for one student, it was too hard to say goodbye to her adorable fluffy cat, called Ba Dun.

The owner of the one-year-old munchkin cat, Ms Wen, decided to take him along with her to the class after he wouldn’t let her leave home without him.

The university student, from the city of Xi’an in north-western China, pulled it off too, with Ba Dun being on best behaviour during lessons.

Ms Wen also took a video of the moggie behaving and not making a peep under the desk.

The munchkin – a breed that is characterised by their short legs – received all the love on social media after his owner shared a video of him in class.

Luckily the lecturer didn’t notice until the video was uploaded last week.

But even if they did, we doubt they would be too angry. Who doesn’t want a fluffy class companion?

Ba Dun kept cuddling up to my leg and looking really sad because he wanted me to stay with him,’ Ms. Wen said.

‘But I was running late for my class. I couldn’t bear letting him down so I brought him with me to the classroom.

‘He was being really good and didn’t make any sounds.’

The adorable kitty was given the name Ba Dun, which loosely translates to ‘eight meals’.

Ms. Wen gave the cat the name as he has a large appetite.

She added: ‘He could definitely eat eight meals every day if I let him.’

Her video went viral on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok where the clip was watched more than 300 million times.

One viewer said: ‘Oh my god, does he realise how adorable he is?’ while another added: ‘Look at those big, curious eyes! He is studying hard as well.’
