Prince William and Kate Middleton appeared to have a lovely time at Wimbledon 2019 over the weekend and some experts believe that their body language and choice of clothing show that things are very good between the couple following the recent Rose Hanbury cheating scandal.
Rumors of an affair have died down
In March, the rumor mill kicked into high gear when it was reported that Prince William cheated on Middleton with their friend, Rose Hanbury, and the duchess wanted to push Hanbury out of their social circle.
The rumors continued, though Prince William never addressed the chatter, and eventually the buzz became mostly been quiet. Last month, a source told Us Weekly that “Kate finds the rumors hurtful, obviously, and hates the thought that one day her children will be able to read about them online.”
The couple, according to another inside source, are “determined to pull through it and are doing a great job at getting their marriage back on track again.”
All eyes were on the couple at Wimbledon
When Prince William and Middleton made a courtside appearance at Wimbledon, the couple looked very happy, as photographers caught their many expressions during their conversations and viewing of the match.
An interesting detail to take note of is the matching outfits they wore to the tennis match — with Middleton wearing a baby blue dress and William completely matching her with his shirt and tie color. That coordination speaks to the couple being on good terms, with relationship expert Dr. Nikki Goldstein telling Huffington Post Australia: “We tend to want to fit in with the person we are dating. Yes, we are all unique, but we want to, as a couple, look united and as if we ‘fit.’”
She continued: “You conform to the environment that you’re in, so it’s only natural that when you’re dating someone, even automatically without knowing, you will start to change your style so that you blend in with them.”
Their body language also revealed the state of their relationship
Similarly, Prince William and Middleton’s body language at the sporting event speaks volumes.
Body language expert Judi James explained to The Sun: “The body distance and touch-free behavior combined with the intense and mutual eye-gaze and wide, amused-looking smiles suggest strong ties of friendship as well as their bonds as a married couple. William’s wide grin suggests Kate enhances his life and lifts his mood.”
Additionally, Traci Brown, body language expert and author of Persuasion Point, told Elite Daily, “These two seem really relaxed and having a good time together.”
Brown further analyzed some of the photos snapped at Wimbledon, including one where the duchess is having a laugh. Brown noted: “She’s laughing and looking him straight in the eye at close range. That’s hard to do if you’re not on good terms with each other.”
William, she notes, is “really relaxed, and almost bashful in this moment… So it’s likely she’s teasing him a bit. They are having lots more fun than everyone around them!”
