Amanda Holdens husband actor exposed as Kriss Dillon as Chris Hughes is missing

Amanda Holden’s new comedy series The Holden Girls: Mandy & Myrtle aired on E4 last night and fans were confused when Amanda's husband wasn't played by her husband, Chris Hughes.

The documentary-style comedic series follows Amanda, her family and her nan, Myrtle.

It was last night when the first episode aired that we all found out that Kriss was playing Amanda's husband Chris – as the identity remained concealed thanks to clever pixelation throughout the show.

People thought that her husband was actually her husband, and confused fans took to Twitter to discuss.

One said: "If @AmandaHolden's husband did not want to be in the show #mandyandmyrtle then why is he in it or is he really just doing it for a joke?"

"Gosh her husband seems a miserable sod #mandyandmyrtle," another penned.

Last week Kriss Dillon took to Instagram to reveal that he was starring in the new series.

He captioned a snap of him and Amanda: "The Holden Girls: #MandyAndMyrtle coming to @e4grams on Tuesday 7th Sept 10pm.

"Had a great time filming alongside one of my favourite comedians (who I can’t name yet) and Amanda Holden. It was so much fun to film, Hope you all enjoy watching."
