Snakes on a Plane (2006) became a cult classic after its release in 2006.
Directed by David R. Ellis, the action film starred iconic Hollywood actor Samuel L. Jackson in its leading role of Agent Neville Flynn.
The disaster film followed the chaotic flight of a passenger plane heading towards Los Angeles which gets infested with hundreds of snakes – in a desperate attempt to kill a murder trial witness called Sean Jones (Nathan Phillips).
The film racked up a huge amount of attention prior to its release, forming large fanbases online and becoming an all-round internet phenomenon.
Despite the intense internet buzz, the movie didn't manage to bag as much profit as it had hoped, earning $15.25 million in its opening weekend before it went on to gross $62 million worldwide.
However, fans will never forget Samuel L. Jackson's famous line in the film: "I have had it with these motherf***ing snakes on this mother f***ing plane!".
To mark 15 years since the film's first release in 2006, the Daily Star have taken a look at what the cast of the film went after it wrapped.
Nathan Phillips – Sean Jones
Nathan Phillips played Sean Jones in the hit movie – a surfer and dirt bike racer who witnesses a brutal murder committed by Eddie Kim.
The 41-year-old Aussie actor began his career on the popular Australian soap, Neighbours.
After his time in Snakes on a Plane, he would go on to star in other major US movies such as Redline (2007).
He then starred alongside famous Interstellar star Matthew McConaughey in the comedy film, Surfer, Dude (2008).
He appeared in another disaster film when he bagged a role in Chernobyl Diaries (2012), playing the role of Michael.
More recently, he worked on US crime drama, The Bridge (2014), Hunters (2014) and this year he starred in a 2021 horror film called The Devil Below.
Samuel L. Jackson – Agent Neville Flynn
Samuel L. Jackson is undoubtedly the most famous star in the film, and he played the leading man of Agent Neville Flynn – an FBI agent assigned to protect Sean Jones on his flight to Los Angeles.
72-year-old legend Samuel was already a star before Snakes on a Plane – with roles in landmark films like Goodfellas (1990), Jurassic Park (1993), and Pulp Fiction (1994).
However, he has since become the highest-grossing actor of all time – as his films have collectively grossed a whopping $27 billion worldwide.
He's also starred in a whole host of Marvel Comics movies, including Iron Man (2008), Iron Man 2 (2010), Thor (2011), Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), The Avengers (2012) – mostly in the role of Nick Fury.
More recently, he appeared in Infinity War (2018) and Endgame (2019) alongside A-list stars like Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth and Scarlett Johansson.
The legend has worked with Quentin Tarantino on multiple occasions, starring in his hit films like Inglorious Basterds (2009) and Django Unchained (2012) – which bagged tons of awards including Oscars and Golden Globes.
Earlier this year, it was announced by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences that Jackson will receive the Honorary Academy Award.
However, Samuel has had some tragic personal battles, with his father passing away following a battle with alcoholism.
The star has also endured six of his family members being diagnosed with Alzheimer's.
Discussing his family's battle with Alzheimer's, he said: "My grandfather was the first [family member] to be affected…He was my best friend when I was growing up. It was heartbreaking to reach a point where he didn't know who I was…I don't think anybody should suffer the heartbreak of having someone who has nurtured you, taken care of you and loves you reach a point where they can't even call your name."
His mum got diagnosed too.
"The same happened with my mother soon after she was diagnosed. It is so cruel having someone who has nurtured you and taken care of you reach a point where they can’t even recall your name.", he said.
The actor has previously spearheaded campaigns to raise money to fight Alzheimer's disease.
Juliana Margulies – Claire Miller
Stunning Julianna played flight attendant, Claire Miller – who manages to regain control of the plane amid the chaos.
The star had already achieved wide recognition for her role as Carol Hathaway on NBC's medical drama, ER (1994-2009).
In 2009, she took on the lead role of Alicia Florrick in the CBS legal drama, The Good Wife (2009 – 2016), which won her plenty of critical acclaim.
Juliana also reportedly had an ongoing feud with co-star Archie Panjabi after she won an Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in 2010 while Juliana failed to snag one that year.
The pair stopped appearing on screen together after the second series, but whilst both denied a feud, they also hinted that there was something going on behind the scenes.
She won two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress, a Golden Globe, and a Television Critics Association Award for the role.
When Juliana explained that scheduling conflicts had been the reason behind them not filming their final scene together, Archie replied on social media saying: "@TheFallTV was not even in production at that time and I was in New York ready to film the scene!"
Meanwhile, Julia also racked up major film credits in classy pictures like Stand Up Guys (2012) with Al Pacino, and The Upside (2017).
Byron Lawson – Eddie Kim
Byron played the murderous gangster Eddie Kim in the film, who tries to evade justice by hunting down Sean on the plane.
Before his time on the Snakes set, the Canadian star had already worked on post-apocalyptic drama show Jeremiah (2002 – 2004), so he was no stranger to disaster stories.
The actor has gone on to appear in a range of action-packed TV shows including Knights of Bloodsteel (2009) and Bloodletting & Miraculous Cures (2010).
He's also worked on more movie projects, such as A Dangerous Man (2009), and Outcast (2014), where he starred alongside Nicholas Cage.
Kenan Thompson – Troy
43-year-old Kenan played Clarence's bodyguard, Troy.
He started out as a famous child star on Nickelodeon – starring in his own sitcom with Kel Mitchell called Kenan & Kel.
After Snakes on a Plane wrapped, he returned to Nickelodeon with a guest role in iParty with Victorious – a crossover episode of popular shows iCarly and Victorious.
As a comedian, he's broken records as the longest-serving cast member on Saturday Night Live – holding a spot for 18 years.
He's been nominated for four Primetime Emmys for his SNL work, winning once.
In reality TV, he appeared as a guest judge on The Masked Singer in 2019, and as a guest judge on America's Got Talent in 2020.
Bobby Cannavale – Special Agent "Hank" Harris
Bobby Cannavvale played Agent Flynn's aid in Los Angeles – Special Agent "Hank" Harris.
The star has seen buckets of movie success after the film, but some of his highlights include 10 Items or Less (2006) alongside Morgan Freeman and The Other Guys (2010) with Mark Wahlberg.
He also took on the role of Jim Paxton in Marvel film Ant-Man (2015), and its sequel – Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018).
Actor Bobby also bagged a role in the classy Martin Scorsese film The Irishman (2019), showing he could do gritter films too.
On television, he's a familiar face on US sitcom Will & Grace – for which he won an Emmy and this year, you can catch him starring in Nine Perfect Strangers as Tony, which is streaming on Hulu.
Sunny Mabrey – Flight attendant
Sunny played the beautiful flight attendant who develops a crush on Sean in the film.
She went on to star in the 2009 film, Not Since You, and teacher comedy, Teacher of the Year (2014).
However, one of her most notable movie roles came when she turned her talents to science fiction genre.
In 2017, she appeared in Teleios in the role of Iris Duncan – which earned her the Best Actress Award at the International Independent Film Awards.

David Koechner – Richard
David played Captain McKeon's co-pilot, "Rick".
The star is known for playing roles like Todd Packer on NBC's The Office and Champ Kind in the hilarious Anchorman films.
After Snakes on a Plane, he had a starring role in the Comedy Central sketch comedy series, The Naked Trucker and T-Bones Show – alongside his long-term performing partner, Dave Allen.
He's also made numerous appearances on Saturday Night Live with his Anchorman co-stars, Will Ferrell and Steve Carrell.
In 2015, he began acting as Commodore Bellacourt in the Comedy Central series Another Period, and has a recurring role as Bill Lewis on The Goldbergs.
