With Keeping Up with the Kardashians in its final season, longtime fans are anticipating the cast’s first-ever reunion special. Hosted by Bravo honco Andy Cohen, the Real Housewives creator says the special touches on all the family’s scandals during the past 20 seasons. Cohen also revealed which family members were the most receptive – and the most resistant – to his line of questioning.
Kardashian scandals Andy Cohen asks about during the reunion special
Cohen says fans should be prepared for a no-holds bar special, revealing on his radio show that there was not one scandal he didn’t tackle. “By the end of the day, I do not think that there was a topic that we did not cover,” he said. “Mention a Kardashians’ scandal to me and I will tell you if we covered that.”

He confirmed that they tackled Caitlyn Jenner’s transition, Tristan Thompson’s cheating scandals, Kris Humpries and Kim’s 72-day marriage, Lamar Odom and Khloé Kardashian’s marriage and divorce, Kylie Jenner’s lip debacle, plastic surgery rumors, dating rumors, Kim’s Paris robbery, and Kim’s infamous sex tape.
One thing that fans are dying to know are the details of Kim and Kanye West’s split. The typically open reality star opted not to discuss her divorce or marital trouble on the final season. As Kim put it, Kanye spent enough time Tweeting about it. But Cohen says he does grill Kim on all things Kanye and their divorce.
Andy Cohen reveals family members reactions to filming the reunion special
Though Cohen says the reunion was a success, he admits that not all family members knew what to expect of it. Particularly the family matriarch Kris, as Cohen says she was nervous because she didn’t want their reunion to be a replica of anything resembling a Housewives reunion.
“I think that Kris very consciously didn’t want it to have the rancor that some Housewives reunions have – or the level of acrimony,” said Cohen.
He also noted that because Khloé is such a huge Bravo fan and is aware of how Cohen moderates Housewives reunions, she was the most prepared. Kim was also on board.

Cohen explained: “Kim and Khloé specifically were like, ‘We want to do this. We want to do this right., we want to go out with a bang, we want this, we want to go there. Do your thing, do your thing,’” he explained. “But it was a bit kind of intimidating when I sat down with them because they were so not used to this.”
The one family member who was the most caught off guard was Kourtney’s ex, Scott Disick. “I was right out of the gate with him. And he was looking at me like, ‘What is this?’ or ‘What are you doing? I think he was a little stunned, but as it went on, I think they all really started leaning into it,” Cohen said.
Overall, Cohen walked away with a great sense of admiration and respect for the famous family. The premiere date for the reunion special has not been released yet. But, the show’s series finale is set to air this summer.
