Kris Jenner showed off her mad maritime skills on Instagram as she posed in the wheelhouse of a yacht she had chartered.
Looking completely fierce as ever, Jenner had one hand on the ship’s controls and one holding a pair of binoculars. She knows it is important to have control over the instruments and visual awareness to stay safe.
Along with her picture she wrote, “OK, Well, Someone has to drive the ship.” Fans and friends responded accordingly. “Hot!” Kelly Bensimon from The Real Housewives of New York City wrote. Also, actress Rita Wilson hilariously added, “I’m the captain now.” Not one to miss anything, Below Deck chief stew, Kate Chastain saw the picture and had one (funny) word of warning for her franchise captains.
‘She’s after your job’
Chastain’s brand of tongue in cheek humor was perfect for the occasion. “She’s after your job @capthlr @CaptSandyYawn! Chastain tweeted. Captain Sandy Yawn from Below Deck Mediterranean saw the tweet and couldn’t resist responding.
Yawn created a special moniker for Jenner. “Kaptain,” she added to the thread. Of course, the tweet also spawned yet another Below Deck spin-off idea. “I would LOVEEEEEEEE for a #belowdeck episode with @KrisJenner @fayeresnick1 and @KyleRichards,” one person added to the thread.
Jenner appears to be having the time of her life as a charter guest. She’s posted a few gorgeous images from a yacht wearing some beautiful couture.
Jenner isn’t the first celeb to ‘try her hand’ at another career
Not that she’s ready to be a yacht captain, but in the outside chance, she’d have a great teacher in Yawn. Yawn has supported and launched the careers of many eager crew members. So if anyone could walk Jenner through some aspects of the job, it would be Yawn.
Jenner isn’t the first mega-celebrity up for a reality television “career change.” When Lisa Vanderpump left The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, rumors swirled that Kyle Richards’ sister Kathy Hilton was going to move into her spot.
Hilton also has a pretty amazing sense of humor and posted a video where she was cutting someone’s hair. She posted to Instagram, “Rumors of me joining the Beverly Hills Housewives would interfere with my real job of cutting hair.”
What about a crossover?
Fans are also screaming for a Below Deck crossover. Any Below Deck crossover. When Patricia Altschul appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen she suggested chartering a yacht. Shortly after that remark, Captain Lee Rosbach and his wife visited Altschul and the cast at Altschul’s mansion in Charleston.
Jax Taylor also chartered a yacht and fans wondered if he was going to be a charter guest on Below Deck. “Are you on Captn Lee’s boat?!” one Twitter fan asked Taylor. Fans were hopeful but Taylor said he was aboard a friend’s yacht.
Finally, even Bravo begged for this crossover. Seth Rogen’s mother Sandy found herself sucked into a Below Deck marathon over the holidays. After she tweeted about it, Bravo invited the Rogen family to be charter guests. No word yet if that will actually come to fruition.
