A GLIMPSE inside Coronation Street’s jolly Christmas has been shared by Tyrone Dobbs actor Alan Halsall.

Forget trees, tinsel and mince pies – the festive offering from the ITV soap involves water pistols, inflatables and a pair of Marigold washing-up gloves.

Tyrone is set to be part of a hilarious fight as he goes to war with Phill Whittaker over his ex, Fiz Stape, played by Jenny McAlpine.

    VIEWERS watching the new BBC thriller The Girl Before got very excited when they spotted some familiar faces.

    The four-part psychological thriller series tells the story of Jane, who gets the chance to move into a beautiful house designed by an enigmatic architect. 

    But there’s a catch – the occupants must abide by his odd list of rules.

    The plot revolves around Jane, who starts to feel the house changing her in unexpected ways.

    However, when she makes the shocking discovery about her predecessor Emma, she’s forced to confront unnerving similarities.

    As the two women’s timelines interweave, Jane begins to question if her fate will be the same as the girl before.

    The adaptation of JP Delaney’s bestselling novel boasts a star-studded cast, including Loki star Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Selma’s David Oyelowo and former EastEnders actors Jessica Plummer and Ben Hardy.

    The EastEnders stars play a couple in the series, with Ben portraying Emma’s boyfriend Simon.

    Emmerdale: Meena desperate to stop Billy rekindling romance with Dawn

    Meena becomes desperate to stop Billy Fletcher from getting back with his ex Dawn Taylor.

    She finds her ex and convinces him that their son Lucas is in danger from Dawn. But her plan backfires when it draws Billy and Dawn back together and he dumps Meena.

    Meena drops a bombshell that leaves him gobsmacked: she is pregnant with his child.  Later Manpreet is suspicious of the pregnancy and later stumbles across a social media page for Nadine’s (Meena’s past victim) sister, Carol, and apprehensively clicks the ‘send message’ button. 

    Manpreet meets up with Carol and is utterly floored to discover that Carol believes Meena murdered Nadine. 

    Reeling from the discovery, Manpreet struggles with the idea that her sister is a murderer and initially regrets contacting Carol.

    Emmerdale's Vinny Dingle makes discovery about killer Meena

    EMMERDALE'S Vinny Dingle will make a horrifying discovery about Meena Jutla which could leave him in danger.

    The nurse – who is played by actress Paige Sandhu in the ITV soap – has killed at least four people during her reign of terror.

    Vinny – played by Bradley Johnson – becomes desperate to clear his on/off girlfriend Liv Flaherty's name after she was wrongly charged with the murder of Ben Tucker.

    In upcoming scenes over the Christmas period, Vinny is adamant that he'll find out the truth and tells Billy Fletcher that Ben was convinced that the survival challenge accidents weren’t accidents.

    Billy adds that Ben had found some strange footage recovered from one of the body cams.

    This new evidence prompts Vinny to investigate and he sets about on a mission to find the real killer.

    But will Vinny's snooping lead him to Meena's dangerous trap?

    Matthew Wolfenden returns to Emmerdale set after race row

    EMMERDALE star Matthew Wolfenden has finally returned to set after September race row.

    The actor – who plays David Metcalfe in the ITV soap – was at the ITV studios last week, it can be revealed.

    Fans spotted him leaving the Leeds set.

    It is not known if he was filming scenes as David or whether he was visiting for another reason.

    Matthew had not filmed scenes for the soap after being embroiled in an alleged row with co-star Aaron Anthony over comments he and Victoria Sugden actress Isabel Hodgins had made.

    However the news comes after The Sun revealed that actor Aaron has dramatically quit the soap.

    We revealed last month that the soap was embroiled in allegations that a mixed-race actress was subjected to an inappropriate comment and had her accent mimicked.

    Rose unrecognisable in music video

    STRICTLY champion Rose Ayling-Ellis is unidentifiable in a music video with a chart-topping boyband.

    EastEnders actress Rose, 27, became the first deaf contestant to win Strictly Come Dancing.

    However, Rose was dazzling on our screens way before then as she appeared in a music video with British pop rock band The Vamps back in 2017.

    Rose featured in the music video for Middle of the Night as someone’s girlfriend with some of the lyrics communicated through sign language.

    Emmerdale star Aaron Anthony ‘quits show’

    EMMERDALE actor Aaron Anthony is said to have quit the ITV soap following a race probe into two of its other leading stars.

    Sources say the actor is still furious about his colleagues’ alleged behaviour towards a fellow female cast member.

    Sources claim Aaron, 28, is said to have rowed with Matthew following the incident.

    Our source said: “Aaron is bitterly angry about this situation and he has had to be persuaded to come back to Leeds to film his scenes in recent months.

    “He has done some filming over the last couple of weeks, but the understanding is that those scenes will be his last.

    “He has been very vocal in his opinions about the allegations and about the way in which the enquiries have been handled by the bosses.

    “He now feels his position on the show is untenable.”

    Corrie’s Will Mellor strips fully naked

    Coronation Street’s Will has just posted a risqué photo of his bum on Instagram and fans are very impressed!

    The post amassed almost 20,000 likes in just six hours with the caption, “HELLO MANCHESTER!!! don’t worry I’ve got a mask on!!#saturdaynight #nightout #naked #weekendvibes”

    Fans quickly commented with excitement with one saying: “Bloody hell wish I was in Manchester!!”

    Another impressed fan shared: “Hope that’s not the Hilton Will, we can see everything when waiting for the tram.”

      EastEnders fans insist Janine and Mick will romp

      Thursday night’s instalment of the BBC soap saw Janine hit the high notes of Slade’s ‘Merry Christmas Everybody’ while she shook her bottom while doing the dishes. Meanwhile Mick (Danny Dyer) did some paperwork at the table.

      And viewers of the hit show think that something is bound to happen between them.

      One wrote on Twitter: “£10 says Janine and Mick will do the nasty on Christmas Day!”

      Meanwhile others were loving how much they bounced off each other.

      Another said: “Not being funny right mickjanine have way more chemistry than him and linda.”

      A third added: “I love Janine & Mick together.”

      A fourth chimed in: “mick and janine… the chemistry is literally showing.”

      A rare date night

      Corrie's Will Mellor and wife Michelle McSween enjoyed a rare date night this weekend and he reposted a sweet snap of them.

      The star, 45, shared the photo on his Instagram story, after Michelle, 43, posted it, showing them beaming as the posed in a dimly lit venue where a band could be seen in the background.

      Alongside the snap on her own Instagram, Michelle wrote: "Long overdue date night with the hubs @willmellor7."

      Spoiler: Coronation Street bosses reveal fun storyline

      A GLIMPSE inside Coronation Street’s jolly Christmas has been shared by Tyrone Dobbs actor Alan Halsall.

      Tyrone is set to be part of a hilarious fight as he goes to war with Phill Whittaker over his ex, Fiz Stape, played by Jenny McAlpine.

      Tyrone is due to spend Christmas alone after Phill booked a holiday for Fiz and her two daughters, but that all changes when she bursts through his door on the 25th.

      And everything comes to a head as Tyrone later tries to kiss her.

      Jamie Kenna, who plays Phill, said: “Phill is not happy! It’s the first time you’ll see that you can only push Phill so far, even though he’s a really nice guy. It’s definitely a turning point.”

      Alan said: “It’s classic Corrie and the two guys have things to settle. It’s not a violent fight but there’s a lot of things used.

      "The height difference is part of the fight and there’s inflatables, water pistols, Marigolds.”

      Daniel Laurie son of EastEnders legend

      DANIEL Laurie is probably best known for playing the role of Reggie Jackson in BBC One’s Call The Midwife.

      But, what many viewers may not know about the young actor is that he is closely related to a former Eastenders villain!

      Daniel, who joined the cast of the long-running period drama in 2017 is the son of Leslie Grantham, who played ‘Dirty Den’ Watts in EastEnders.

      Daniel received huge praise and rave reviews for his Call the Midwife role and helped raise the profile of actors with Down’s syndrome.

      In a 2014 interview, Daniel spoke about having Down’s syndrome, and said: “Basically having Down’s syndrome is kinda cool. To me it’s absolutely cool.”

      During Call the Midwife’s sixth season, Daniel joined as Reggie – who goes to live with his uncle Fred Buckle after his mother’s death.

      Sarah Jayne Dunn wows with figure

      The ex-Hollyoaks star has shown off her incredible figure as she enjoys a family break to Dubai.

      The 40-year-old posed in a tiny leopard print bikini while she, her husband Jonathan Smith and their three-year-old son soaked up the sun on yacht.

      Former Hollyoaks actress Sarah stood against the backdrop of the United Arab Emirates city, beaming, and wrote: “I’ve had worse mornings tbf 😏.”

      Sarah also treated followers to some sizzling snaps of her at Nikki Beach, looking incredible in a low cut blue swimsuit.

        Real-life couple Jess and Ben caught the attention of viewers who were excited to see some of their Walford favourites.

        "This is a full on Eastenders reunion," wrote on fan on Twitter.

        Another asked: "How many ex Eastenders are in this?'

        And a third observied: "Half the cast are from Eastenders. So far we have, Peter Beale, Dr May Wright and Shabnam Masood. I'm half expecting Dot to make an appearance."

        Fresh fear Strictly's Rose will quit EastEnders

        Strictly champ Rose Ayling-Ellis will quit her EastEnders role within months, claim cast on the BBC soap.

        Deaf Rose, 27, is tipped for TV and film stardom after she and dance partner Giovanni Pernice lifted the Glitterball trophy.

        Execs and producers are already lining up high-profile projects for the actress, who has played the soap’s Frankie Lewis since last year.

        Her character has been written out until next month when she is expected to return.

        But cast and crew are expecting Rose to get itchy feet.

        The Sun revealed last week that the Beeb was lining up a drama with deaf character in the lead role with a view to casting Rose. There are reports she could target Hollywood.

        Holby City cast & crew jobless just ONE week before Xmas

        THE cast and crew of Holby City have been left jobless just one week before Christmas as the show wrapped filming Friday forever.

        The decision was made to end Holby over the summer after 23 years on screen – leaving fans heartbroken.

        Davood Ghadami – who started playing Eli shortly after leaving EastEnders – shared his sadness as he said goodbye to his character.

        He wrote: “Tough one today. Holby City is such a wonderful place to be and I am not ready to say goodbye. I will miss all the cast and crew who I feel like I have just started to get to know.

        “I will miss playing Eli who is a gift of a character to play. Thank you to the Holby fans. I'm sorry this brilliant show has to end.”

        The cast were inundated with messages from their devastated fans who still can’t believe the show is ending.

        EastEnders’ Maisie Smith on self-hatred

        Despite constant trolling over her thighs and bottom during her stint on the dance floor, she credits the BBC show with helping her conquer a long-held fear of showing off her legs.

        “Strictly was a game-changer for me. I’ve always hated my legs and my cellulite. When I was at school, I was the only one who had it. When I went to parties I wouldn’t get my legs out. I would wear trousers all summer,” she says.

        “It wasn’t until I did Strictly last year and they literally said: ‘You have got to wear a leotard.’ I was shoved in the deep end and it helped me, because I completely faced my fears straight on.”

          Holby City – a much-loved show

          The much-loved show, created as a spin-off from BBC's Casualty by Tony McHale and Mal Young, premiered in 1999.

          It became a huge hit with fans as it followed the drama of the NHS staff who work in Holby City Hospital.

          The BBC broke the news in June, saying: "We are incredibly proud of Holby City but it’s with great sadness that we are announcing that after 23 years, the show will end on screen in March of next year.”

          CORONATION Street will air a Christmas overdose for Kelly Neelan as Abi Franklin pushes her to breaking point.
