Coronation Street fans reckon that Jason Grimshaw may make a dramatic return to the soap as actor Ryan Thomas appears back on ITV.
Ryan, who played Jason for a whopping 16 years (from 2000 to 2016), is appearing on ITV's new rebooted show The Games.
The Games sees celebrities compete against each other in a number of Olympic sports, with Ryan joining the likes of Christine McGuinness and Olivia Attwood.
When asked why he wanted to take part, Ryan told ITV on Instagram: "Stepping out of my comfort zone, learning something new – a challenge in life is important."
The show, hosted by Holly Willoughby and Freddie Flintoff, kicks off next Monday (May 9) on ITV at 9pm and will be on air until Friday (May 13).
Sharing their thoughts on Ryan appearing on The Games, hopeful Corrie fans are wondering if it means he'll return to another ITV show.
A Reddit user asked: "Interesting Ryan is doing this for ITV, I wonder if a comeback to Corrie is on the cards?"
Several people liked the post, indicating that they would like to see Jason back on the cobbles.
Although he hasn't appeared on Corrie since 2016, Ryan has made soap appearances since his exit.
In 2018 he played Rafael Humphreys on Australian soap opera Neighbours.

He has also done reality shows, winning the 22nd and final series of Celebrity Big Brother that same year.
Despite this, Corrie fans' hopes may already be dashed given comments Ryan previously made about his acting career.
Speaking to the Mancs On The Mic podcast in March 2021, he revealed that he didn't intend on returning to acting.
"It's so hard for me," he said. "I started off acting, I started off in that game and I really lost the bug for it.
"I feel the reason for losing the bug is rejection and going to auditions and not getting them."
