Devastated Kerry Katona left crying her eyes out after doctors reveal shock news over surgery | The Sun

KERRY Katona was left in floods of tears after doctors cancelled her planned stomach surgery and eyelid lift at the last minute.

The 42-year-old was struck down with illness over the festive period but bravely worked through in a Cinderella pantomime in Lincoln.

In her latest New magazine column, Kerry revealed the illness got in the way of her corrective procedures.

She explained: "The doctor saw on my notes I'd been on antibiotics and, because of that, I couldn't go under as they have to be 100 per cent sure I'll be OK.

"I was crying my eyes out – I'm at home I've cancelled all of my work for weeks."

Kerry previously opened up about her anxiety surrounding the procedures but hoped the operation would make her feel better.

The former I'm A Celebrity campmate admitted that sometimes her mental health has become so bad around her appearance that she has arranged to get more professional guidance.

Kerry spilled:"I was lying down in bed and I felt like I couldn't breathe. My throat and chest felt really tight, it was awful.

"I felt like I was going to die. I've arranged a call with my doctor but if it gets worse I'll go to A&E."

She added: "I suffer from health anxiety and I'm really scared."

It comes as Kerry revealed that she's had so much surgery on her body that it's like a flat-pack from Ikea.

In a recent episode of Net Mums podcast she reflected on why she's gone under the knife so many times – and referred to herself as a piece of furniture.

Kerry said: "I started out as a page 3 model, I had a great set of t**s on me, I wasn’t going to be a rocket scientist, that was my get out, I was a pretty girl, I used what god gave me.

"Half my body’s not mine anyway. I’ve been sliced and diced so many bloody times I’m like a flat pack from Ikea."
