EastEnders kicks off its most dramatic week of episodes so far next week, as the Mitchells take centre stage.
From a baby daddy reveal, a deadly attack and the return of a Walford favourite, there’s plenty of action going on in Albert Square.
Recent events build up to the shocking moment Phil Mitchell is left for dead, with several residents, including his own son Ben Mitchell, in the frame.
It’s not been revealed who commits the attack, but all will be revealed next week when Phil is left fighting for his life.
Phil’s wife Sharon has her own drama going on, when she finally learns the results of her recent DNA test to determine the paternity of her unborn baby.
While Phil knows Sharon is pregnant with presumably his child, he has no idea about her recent affair with son-in-law Keanu Taylor.
It’s messy business given Keanu is engaged to Phil’s daughter Louise, and they’re also expecting a child together.
Next week Sharon finally learns if the baby is Phil or Keanu’s child, but will she be the only one to learn the truth?
Amid Phil’s attack, Ben makes another discovery after Phil asks him to help out at the E20, leading to a celebration with pal Lola.
The celebrations are short-lived though when he also learns Keanu has replaced him in his dad’s will, with Ben calling him to meet him at The Arches for a showdown.
Ben isn’t the only one out to get Keanu though, as after he learns Phil is still involved with dodgy business contacts he takes matters into his own hands, but a furious Phil issues him a threat he can’t ignore.
Away from the Mitchells, and Patrick Trueman returns with new love interest Sheree, while romance blossoms for Karen and Caren and potentially for Rainie and Stuart too.
The same can’t be said though for Martin and Stacey Fowler who fall out again over her meddling in Ruby and Max’s fling.
EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
