Emmerdale’s Rebecca Sarker and Kevin Mathurin, who plays Charles Anderson joined the Loose Women panel on Wednesday afternoon to discuss Super Soap week on ITV. Christine Lampard, Coleen Nolan, Janet Street-Porter and Linda Robson were all eager to find out the fate of their characters after Charles and Manpreet were seen falling into the rapids. Rebecca teased at Charles and Manpreet’s future together hinting there’s heartache, or death, ahead for Andrea (played by Anna Nightingale).
After introducing the pair to the show, Coleen asked Rebecca: “I was watching it last night in the hotel, and honestly, I don’t think I took a breath for at least half an hour.
“I couldn’t breathe watching it, can you give us any little snippet of what’s going to happen next?”
Rebecca smiled and replied: “Well, you’ve obviously seen Manpreet and Charles have dragged themselves out of the rapids.
“Their story continues, and it’s a very, I mean they’re a lot of chemistry between Manpreet and Charles.
“So as far as I’m concerned, as far as Kevin and I are concerned, I think our little story continues with great passion, and it’s very poignant.
“There’s more jeopardy in terms of, I guess one little snippet I can give you is that we just seen that Charles has noticed quite a gash in his leg.
“That proves to be not a minor injury let’s just say that”, she ended.
Could Rebecca’s teasing of Manpreet and Charles’ future seal the death of Andrea?
If Andrea dies then Manpreet could be the shoulder for Charles to cry on.
Fans know the vicar is also conflicted over his feelings for Manpreet and trying to move on with Andrea.
With Andrea out of the way and Manpreet now single, it could be the perfect opportunity for Charles to reunite with an old flame.
The ladies in the studio all seemed to enjoy the teaser from Rebecca, with Christine exclaiming: “Oh dear, we can read between the lines!”
Linda also asked Kevin: “Can I just ask you, does murdering Meena get her comeuppance?”

“I don’t think, I don’t think I can answer that, but the payoff will be amazing, I can guarantee that!” Kevin revealed.
Rebecca spoke about the chaos viewers have already seen and commented on the week ahead for the characters.
“There’s so many little mini-dramas in the story, and they all sort of culminate in, not one disaster but in another and then another,” she teased.
“It’s just, the jeopardy is compounded over the whole week, so that’s what makes it so exciting.”
Rebecca continued: “As I said the little dramas, these little stories going along with the characters and their relationships with each other.”
“It was a 60-foot drop into the water, we had an amazing stunt team who sort of tried the stunts first to see how safe they were.
“They also guided us and trained us to do things properly and sort of helped us and give us the confidence that we felt safe to give it our best in the performance.
“Stuff like falling off the bridge, that wasn’t me, thank god Leon was there to do that for me,” he exclaimed, laughing.
