Belle talks to Lydia about what she's hiding from Tom
Emmerdale fans seem think think newcomer Tom King (played by James Chase) is hiding something from his girlfriend Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) – and that he’s not who he says he is.
During Tuesday night’s ITV episode, Belle told Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) she was worried about telling Tom about her health.
The youngster also grew suspicious when Tom got a mysterious text message before rushing out of the cafe.
“They need me to cover the late clinic in Leeds,” Tom explained as he rushed out of the cafe. “I’ll message you later, sorry, I’ve got to run.”
“Do you reckon that is true?” Belle asked Lydia. “That he has to work.”
“Why wouldn’t it be?” Lydia asked as Belle replied: “He just couldn’t wait to get away.”
As Lydia tried to reassure Belle, she asked: “Is something wrong?”
“I nearly forgot to take my meds this morning, it has just made me realise I feel like I’m hiding a massive part of myself from him,” Belle went on.
“You don’t need to tell him anything yet,” Lydia argued back as Belle shared: “Yeah, I’m just scared that when he finds out he’ll make a run for it.”

It is unclear whether Belle has any other health concerns, but the Dingle favourite does suffer from schizophrenia.
Following the episode, fans took to social media to share their thoughts on who Tom really is and what he is doing back in the village.
@penniless_poet shared: “So – has anyone guessed what is wrong with Tom King and what his secret agenda is? Cos he’s bound to have one #Emmerdale.” (sic)
@pam_debeauvoir tweeted: “What is Tom’s issue with Jimmy? I must’ve missed something. Just have it out with him for crying out loud and move on. All that bitterness. He could have loads of lemons for his gin and tonic #Emmerdale.” (sic)
While @itzzzo_ added: “I have and it’s ‘whatever Tom King’s secret agenda is it will be a load of f***ing s***.” #Emmerdale
“Dodgy Tom,” @DonGard91348695 said as @Matt528chap went on to claim: “The only interesting development appears to be the Car crash with Moira, Nicola and Angelica-Has anyone not considered that Tom may have something to do with this?”
