Good Morning Britain fans spot awkward Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid feud

Eagle-eyed Good Morning Britain fans have spotted a potential feud between hosts Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid.

The notorious pair never shy from a debate, often disagreeing publicly on important issues on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, which is on every weekday.

But today (May 26), viewers were convinced there were tensions brimming between the two on set.

One viewer posted to Twitter that the dynamic of the two reminded them of a broken family household – like parents arguing.

They wrote: “That's how it feels – every day."

Another claimed that they had spotted Susanna throwing Richard some “disgusting” looks, and felt that she was being rude to the co-presenter.

One viewer also witnessed Susanna shushing Richard, after he used a phrase in French on the show.

This isn’t the first appearance of tensions between the two.

Earlier this month, the pair reportedly refused to get a photo together at the BAFTAs.

Susanna arrived at the red carpet along with the rest of the Good Morning Britain team, while Richard arrived completely separate.

Their previous interview with Shamima Begum was nominated for a gong that evening – but the two did not share a photo to mark the event, which fans thought was more than a little strange.

The pair recently had a clash on the show over Partygate, after the most recent photos of Boris Johnson appearing to drink at Number 10 alongside colleagues circulated and went viral.

Tory MP Grant Schapps appeared on Good Morning Britain to address the claims, and was grilled by the two hosts live on air.

But an awkward moment surfaced when the two appeared to be receiving different messages from viewers.

Richard said to MP Grant: “Quite a large proportion of our viewers say they don't care [about #PartyGate] anymore. In a sense, the bubble of anger burst a few weeks ago and that reading the room you can actually probably tough this out.”

At that point, Susanna immediately jumped in, saying: “They're not the messages I'm reading, sorry Richard.”

Richard immediately snapped back: “They’re mixed, that’s what I’m saying. But there are a few messages saying they don’t care anymore.”
