Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) will be left fearing for her life in Coronation Street next week, as Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) returns to the cobbles.

The vile criminal manages to escape from captivity, after orchestrating a sick plot in the hopes of being taken to the hospital.

A corrupt officer also plays a part in the plan, as he takes control of the van transporting Harvey, and on a remote county road, a crash ensues, as the van collides with the Alahans’ stationary car.

Harvey – having survived the crash – wastes little time in making his way back to the street, hellbent on revenge.

But with the Horror-nation Street celebrations well under way, tracking Leanne down might be more tricky than he thought!

Ultimately, however, he works out where she is, and enters bistro – taking her by surprise.

Knowing that he’s likely running out of time, Harvey decides that he will seek all of his revenge in one go, and thus instructs Leanne to call Sharon Bentley (Tracie Bennett).

Leanne makes it clear that she doesn’t have Sharon’s number in her phone, and – after taking a look for himself – Harvey settles on killing both Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) and Toyah (Georgia Taylor) instead!

Leanne is horrified, but matters are made worse when sick Harvey begins to look at her.

‘It’s a shame you tried to ruin my life,’ he says, inching closer and closer. ‘Under other circumstances I’d have give you one.

‘I mean, you’ve got a pulse, haven’t you? For now.’

Leanne is frozen still, as the gangster moves his hand down her body and grips at her clothing.

She gasps in fear, before Harvey moves his attention back to her mobile, sending Toyah and Simon a text, instructing them to get to the bistro at once.

Will Harvey follow through on his plan and kill all those who’ve wronged him?

Coronation Street airs these scenes Wednesday October 20th at 7:30pm on ITV.
