DR ALEX George has disappeared to his own personal love island as he takes his girlfriend Ellie Hetch on holiday.
The frontline medic is in the tropical hideaway for some sun and relaxation, enjoying everything from spa treatments to breakfast on the beach.
Alex, 30, shared with his Instagram followers a variety of pictures and video from the special holiday to mark Ellie's birthday.
Announcing the occasion, Alex posted a sunshine snap of Ellie with her arms outstretched in a black bikini which she teamed with a black and gold kaftan.
He wrote: "BIRTHDAY HOLIDAY FOR ELLIE 💙 Stunning view all round I would say 😍
"Our first holiday together and my first time out in the sun for a few years! Don’t panic I have packed *bottles of factor 50. I AM READY.
"Happy birthday gorgeous, enjoy the heaven that is @saltresorts 🌊".
Treating the pretty brunette to a couple's spa treatment, the lovebirds rested their feet, as the TV star admitted it was: "Time to unwind."
They were seen dipping their toes into a foot spa with a specially prepared treatment.
For dinner, Ellie dressed up in a silk yellow dress as the pair listed to music being performed.
Topping off the night, Ellie was serenaded by the band as they sang 'Happy birthday' to her.
Staff also presented her with a cake with a sparkler in the middle of it.
Alex has been dating the barristers’ clerk for nearly a year now, but only made their relationship insta-official in June.
The pair have booked into a popular boutique hotel in Mauritius, with its decor inspired by the beauty of its surroundings.
The venue is also billed as adults-only for those wanting some extra peace and quiet.
The holiday makers stayed in a room, with a balcony overlooking palm trees and the Indian Ocean, waking up to blue skies each morning.
Slightly more adventurous than her boyfriend, Ellie make the most of the hotel pool, jumping in for a swim as Alex sat on the side line.
In addition to the pool, the couple also had the option of laying on one of the private shaded cabanas on the white sand beach.
It appears to be a welcome break for the Love Island star who last week revealed he's taking anxiety medication following the tragic death of his teenage brother last year.
Alex took to Instagram to share an honest and heartfelt post to address the "stigma" of taking medication to help his mental health.
The Youth Mental Health Ambassador shared a photo of himself holding an anxiety pill in his hand.
He wrote: "This post is not about saying medication is the ‘answer’ for everyone, rather to say that for those who need it should have access without barriers or shame."
Dr Alex added: "If you feel you can, join me with #postyourpill to take a stand against medication stigma."
The post was inundated with supportive comments from fans, with many of his followers and other celebrities following in his footsteps.
