Is Claude Littner on The Apprentice?

Claude will make a return as one of Lord Sugar's aides in the show's premiere on January 5, 2023, but fans will notice that he's again replaced by season one winner Tim Campbell in future episodes.

Speaking at a Q&A for the new season, Lord Sugar said that Littner took a step back due to "medical issues".

"Obviously it's been a great journey starting with [former aide] Nick Hewer and then Claude. "Unfortunately, Claude suffered some medical issues and so I was asked to think of someone else – and who better than somebody who's actually been through the process," he said, referring to Campbell.

"So it was a bit of a no-brainer really, because when it comes to making excuses like these candidates do, you've got Tim there, who's been there, done that, seen it and heard it all," he continued.

"And that's why I warn the candidates also that there's no pulling the wool over his eyes, so to speak."

Tim won the first edition of The Apprentice back in 2005.

Winning the competition allowed Tim to work for Lord Alan Sugar for a year, earning a salary of £100,000.

In 2012, he became a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) for his services to Enterprise Culture.

He also co-founded the digital marketing agency Marketing Runners Ltd back in 2016.

What happened to Claude Littner?

Claude will not be in the next series of The Apprentice full-time due to suffering an injury on his bike back in April 2021.

The 73-year-old was riding an electric bike in London when he fell off.

His right leg was so badly injured that doctors considered amputating it.

However, they managed to save it and he has now undergone ten surgeries.

The news comes after Claude opened up about his injuries in an episode of The Apprentice spin-off You’re Fired in 2022.

"I looked behind me to see who was going to run me over," he said, "They saved my life.”

How does Claude Littner know Lord Alan Sugar?

When Claude was a turnaround specialist he met Lord Alan Sugar, and agreed to chair a number of Sugar's companies.

In 2009 Lord Sugar resigned from a majority of his UK company directorships, handing over his former management duties to Claude, including the chairman's post at Viglen.

And on top of that when Lord Sugar was the majority owner and chairman of Tottenham Hotspur football club, Claude was its Chief Executive from 1993 to 1998.

Who is Claude's wife Thelma and how many children do they have?

Claude has been married to a woman named Thelma since 1976.

While not much is known about Thelma, she does appear alongside Claude during public events and acts as his rock behind the scenes.

This isn't the first time Thelma has supported and helped her husband overcome health issues.
