Kate Middleton plays the piano in Eurovision opening song

Kate Middleton shows support for Ukraine with Eurovision cameo.

The Duchess of Cambridge made a surprise appearance in the opening segment of this year’s show with an ensemble rendition of Kalush Orchestra’s Stefania, which won the competition last year.

The royal performed alongside the likes of Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, last year’s runner-up Sam Ryder and Joss Stone, among other familiar faces.

The Duchess recorded her piece earlier this month in Windsor Castle, Kensington Palace confirmed.

Kate’s appearance was only 10 seconds but made an impact as she wore a blue dress, mirroring the colour of the Ukrainian flag.
