La Brea on NBC follows one family trapped in a mysterious and dangerous situation. Located in Los Angeles, a massive sinkhole opens in the city that separates the family. Joined by other strangers, the family finds themselves in an unexplainable primeval world.

Who is in the cast of La Brea?

La Brea is the new science fiction series bringing together an ensemble cast of familiar faces.

Created by David Appelbaum, the producer behind shows such as The Mentalist and NCIS: New Orleans, La Brea looks to be capturing the same spirit as NBC’s other popular sci-fi drama – Manifest.

Over the course of the season, a mother and her son will fight through a devastated city and altered reality to hopefully reunite with one another.

Throughout their twinned journeys, they will encounter various other survivors who will band together in a bid for survival. has all the details on the main cast of the show.

Dr Samuel Velez – Jon Seda

One of the main stars of the show, Jon Seda plays Dr Samuel Velez, another survivor of the catastrophe.

The star has appeared in several high-profile television projects including Chicago PD, Chicago Fire, Treme, and The Pacific.

Posting on his Instagram, the star recently shared the poster of the show, with the caption: “A family’s epic quest to find each other, two worlds apart. #LaBrea premiers this fall on @NBC.”

Ty Coleman – Chike Okonkwo

British actor Chike Okonkwo stars as Ty Coleman, another character trying to survive.

The star has been appearing in television projects for over a decade, with one of his first breakout roles as PC Clark in New Tricks.

He would go on to star in Paradox, Banshee, and Being Mary Jane, alongside working as a voice actor for video games such as Mass Effect: Andromeda and Anthem.

Gavin Harris – Eoin Macken

Another British television star joining the series is Eoin Macken as Gavin Harris.

Macken’s most recent main TV role was in Nightflyers where he played Karl D’Branin but also appeared in The Night Shift and Merlin as Sir Gwaine. 

The star is no stranger to film either, appearing in hits like Resident Evil: The Final Chapter and The Forest.

Izzy Harris – Zyra Gorecki

Zyra Gorecki will be new to most viewers of La Brea, having only made a brief appearance in Chicago Fire back in 2016.

Here she will be playing Izzy Harris, another main family member of the show.

Eve Harris – Natalie Zea

The aforementioned mother of the show, Natalie Zea will play Eve Harris who is desperately looking for her son throughout the city.

Fans will recognise the star from shows such as The Detour, Justified and The Following, alongside film appearances such as Happily and The Other Guys.

Zea will lead one half of the series, with the show being split into two main narratives.

Josh Harris – Jack Martin

The other half of the show will be led by Jack Martin, playing Josh Harris, Eve’s son.

Martin is a newcomer to acting, only making a brief appearance in All Rise in 2020.

He is also set to appear in a short film, In This, Our Time, and will star in all 10 episodes of La Brea.

Lilly Castillo – Chloe De Los Santos

One of the younger members of the cast, Chloe De Los Santos stars as Lilly Castillo.

Before taking on La Brea, the young star could be seen in Fam Time and Tidelands, along with various made-for-TV movies such as The Mother Load and Jade of Death.

Lucas Hayes – Josh McKenzie

Another star will a solid TV filmography, Josh McKenzie stars as Lucas Hayes.

McKenzie has been appearing in projects since 2003 but got his first big break in 2013 with shows such as Go Girls and Shortland Street.

Since then, the star could be seen in Transplants, Filthy Rich, and The New Legends of Monkey.

La Brea premieres on Tuesday, September 28 on NBC in the USA. A UK release date is yet to be confirmed.
