Love Island baby challenge is returning to villa with just 5 episodes left

It's the challenge that always sends the Love Island villa into a tailspin – and gave rise to perhaps the greatest pun-work of all time: the baby test.

The Love Island baby challenge has made stars out of its young charges, including Cash Hughes in 2017, who became almost as famous as his reality star mum and dad, Chris Hughes and Olivia Attwood .

But with just five episodes to go before the explosive final, fans have been worried there's too much juicy stuff to squeeze in – including the parents flying in to see the Islanders, and the lie detector test that always drives couples to the limit.

However, bosses have reassured fans their favourite task will definitely air before the end of the show.

"The baby task will be back with a bang before the end of the series," a show insider told the Sun .

"It's one of the most popular tasks of the show, which never fails to entertain fans.


"Although it always pushes the couples' buttons it's a fun and lighthearted moment that gives islanders an, often terrifying, glimpse into the future."

With the villa still in turmoil from last night's shocking row, adding a life-like doll into the mix is only going to stir up more trouble as each couple is assigned a baby.

They must battle sleep deprivation, nappy changes and a squalling newborn who wants to be cuddled and rocked every five minutes – all the while keeping their relationship going and seeing how their other half copes with the change.


It comes after Anna Vakili's sister weighed in on the dramatic row between her and Jordan Hames.

Mandi Vakili laid into Jordan on Instagram , blasting him for cracking on with another girl just days after asking Anna to be his girlfriend.

"I can't believe that this 23 year old Shrek lookalike has been playing a game this whole time," she told her followers.

"He's been lying through the gaps in his teeth…
