Love Island viewers were hilariously forced to "mute" their TVs on Wednesday night as the infamous baby challenge made a return.
The Islanders got a rude awakening by the babies who began crying in another room as they came to realise the challenge that awaited them.
Each couple were given a doll between them as they were tasked with keeping the tot happy for the day – including by soothing it when it cries.
With five babies all of a sudden disturbing the peace in the Love Island villa, both the Islanders and viewers were left covering their ears – with some fans even hilariously "muting" their televisions.
One person tweeted as the babies made their highly anticipated return: “I need to mute this episode of #loveisland. the crying babies are sooooo annoying”.
“All mums will be watching this episode on mute #loveisland,” joked another fan.
A third added: “I always mute this episode #loveisland."
Echoing similar sentiments, another fan went on: “I HATE HATE HATE the baby challenge so much. I just can’t cope with the artificial crying. I might have to watch this ep on mute with subtitles”.
Several other viewers said the same.
Kai Fagan felt the same way about the babies crying and, following the boys’ outing with their babies, admitted that the noise was “doing [his] head in”.
While the crying was getting on Kai’s nerves, the challenge sparked him to discuss his future family plans.
Speaking to fellow Islander Shaq Muhammad, Kai – who named his baby Bruno – shared: “I’m the most laid back chilled individual going, Bruno will have a field day with me, Sanam [Harrianan] will be the strict one.”
Pressing Kai about his plans with love interest Sanam, he went on to ask: “Can you see yourself and Sanam having kids one day maybe?”
“If things keep going how they are then without a doubt I could see us having kids," Kai candidly shared.
"Bruno is lucky to have a mum like her; she's beautiful, intelligent, caring.”
As Kai began to dream of his future with Sanam, there was an awkward moment between Shaq and Tanya Manhenga after she joked that the baby wasn’t his.
The remark went down like a lead balloon with Shaq however, as he failed to crack a smile.
Love Island continues each night at 9pm on ITVX and ITV2.
