Love Island past contestants who were dumped and later returned

The exit from Love Island came after Chloe Burrows decided to couple up with Aaron Francis, leaving Shannon Singh single.

The model from Fife in Scotland received a text announcing she had dumped from the island, after which she said: "Oh my God".

The text read: “Shannon you are now single and therefore have been dumped from the Island.

“Please pack your bags and say goodbye.”

Shannon was shocked at the news, adding "Well that was short-lived. At least I looked good on my last night."

With all islanders in shock of the sudden news of an early departure, they said their goodbyes and Shannon wheeled her suitcase and self out of the villa.

But Love Island producers like to throw some curb balls into the mix – and speculations have already risen with viewers wondering if Shannon will later return to the show.

This is one of the earliest exits the show has ever had and is making people wonder why.

Has anyone been dumped and then returned to Love Island?

It's not out of the question that Shannon could return – because it has happened before.

Callum Macleod, 28 was dumped after five days in the first week in 2019, and the following year in 2020, Eve Gale, 22 left after six days never to return. However, they did not return.

But back in 2017, Mike Thalassitis and Sam Gowland both returned to the villa after viewers had voted for them to return rather than two newbies.

This created the biggest twist of the series with the two islanders making a triumphant return.

Another return took place back in 2016 with the return of Malin Andersson who surprised former match, Terry Walsh in a Love Island showdown special.

Love Island is prone to spicing things up and with the Casa Amor villa later returning to the show viewers are wondering if Shannon will rejoin at a later stage in Casa after her abrupt dumping.

Ladbrokes have even placed Shannon just 1/2 for a dramatic return into the Casa Amor villa with many fans far from convinced this is the end of her time on this year's series.

Nothing has been confirmed who will be entering Casa Amor or when it will make its return but this could leave a space for Shannon to rejoin the Islanders at a later date.
