Love Island ’s Curtis Pritchard explains he feels like “a weight has been lifted” off his shoulders after splitting from Amy Hart .
The pair ended their half-relationship during emotional scenes on Thursday night’s episode, leaving viewers well and truly divided.
Amy was left hunting for answers after Curtis admitted he couldn’t promise his head wouldn’t be turned by other girls in the villa.
His shock revelation stemmed from the brutal Casa Amor twist, which saw him try to forge a connection with new islander Jourdan Riane.
On Friday night’s show, viewers will watch as Amy ponders over her recent split from partner Curtis before asking for feedback on what went wrong.

The air hostess asks him: “Are you upset that we’re no longer together?”
Curtis savagely replies: “It’s probably going to be horrible to hear but I do feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.”
A stunned Amy responded: “That’s interesting because last night I was going to end the conversation with giving you a second chance.
“I was going to work hard on our relationship. I thought that is what you wanted. But that’s not what you want.”

Ballroom dancer Curtis honestly answered: “I don’t feel the romantic connection so I don’t feel like it’ll work in the long run.”
The heartbreaking blow lead to Amy needed to temporarily leave the villa to seek psychological support.
A Love Island source confirmed: “We take the emotional well-being of all the Islanders extremely seriously. We have dedicated welfare producers and psychological support on hand at all times who monitor and regularly speak to all of the Islanders in private and off camera, especially if someone appears to be upset.

“All the Islanders are therefore fully supported by the professionals on site and by their friends in the villa.
“This means Islanders are always able to reach out and talk to someone if they feel the need. We will of course continue to monitor all of our Islanders in line with our robust protocols.
“Love Island holds a mirror up to relationships and all the different dynamics that go with them.”
