Love Island’s Michael Griffiths has his head turned in Casa Amor and we're done

Love Island’s Michael Griffiths has his head turned by new girl Joanna Chimonides in tonight’s episode and we’ve officially given up on love.

In a sneak preview clip the firefighter from Liverpool, who’s been coupled up with Amber Gill for weeks, admits that he’s open to getting to know the Casa Amor siren and even tells the boys that he wanted to spend the first night in the second villa with her in bed.

Having a chat with the lads outside, Michael admits: ‘I’m in a place where if I go, I go. If she [Amber] comes back with a guy then it is what it is really.

‘If it’s not there, it’s not there. I’m not going to change who I am because six new girls have come in.’

While Michael talks about having a wandering eye, Amber panics about his wandering eye. Oh the irony. The painful irony.

‘Michael is probably cracking on with someone new right now. Fantastic,’ she tells the girls.’

‘He is not,’ comforted one of the other girls.

‘I don’t know why you lot are so confident in him,’ she snaps.

Seconds later Michael, who’s already been seen cosying up to is Joanna, seen having a heart-to-heart with Joanna by the fire pit telling her that he’s keen to hang out and get to know her.

‘There are certain things that have gone on which I think are quite childish,’ he tells her. ‘If someone proper blows me out the water then I’d be lying to myself if I didn’t go with it.’

He adds in the Beach Hut: ‘She’s obviously a very attractive girl. It wouldn’t hurt to get to know who Joanna is, to see if by all mean she’s more like me.’

We’ve got everything crossed that Michael’s head is turned back and that Amber isn’t left solo by the end of the week.

Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
