Masked Singer Otter rumbled as viewers predict comedy star is behind costume

The Masked Singer fans think they've rumbled the identity of Otter after a series of giveaway clues.

Viewers are convinced they know which celebrity is behind Otter's mask thanks to an apparent Doc Martin clue, suggesting that award-winning actress and This Country star Daisy May Cooper is the face behind the mask.

The star has become the prime suspect for the character over on a Reddit thread in which eight "tell-tale" signs make quite the argument it could be her.

"You might remember me from something a little bit medical sounding," Otter said.

Among the clues were a witch's hat and broom (a supposed indicator of Daisy's BBC series The Witchhunter), Kim Kardashian (which she parodied her famous 'break the internet' pic for on a magazine cover), and a nod to a Vicar – one of the lead characters in This Country.

Other clues included a reference to RADA – the drama school Daisy attended – and a police hat and siren, which could be an indicator to her role in 2014's The Wrong'Uns beside James Corden.

Otter has survived another week on the series, with Daisy not the only female comedian in the spotlight for the character.

Others believe it could be Catherine Tate while after the first performance, some viewers became absolutely convinced it could be legendary pop star Kate Bush.

In a more bizarre guess, some believe it could be Portsmouth North MP Penny Mordaunt.

But although Daisy’s name has not been put forward by judges Davina McCall, Rita Ora, Mo Gilligan and Jonathan Ross, a growing number of fans on social media are convinced it is Daisy

After the first performance to Baywatch theme song I'll Be There, the judges are still stumped by her identity.

Mo Gilligan guessed actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge, while Davina McCall also suggested Fiona Shaw.

Rita Ora believed Otter was singer Una Healy, as she took part in the TV show Splash.

Jonathan Ross focused on the shamrock shown and guessed Irish star Pauline McLynn.

The smash hit show sees the judges and viewers try to uncover each character’s true identity with the help of some cryptic clues.

Every week one of the 12 acts act is voted off and last weekend viewers were stunned and delighted when unmasked Cat and Mouse turned out to be Martin and Shirley Kemp.

The Masked Singer airs on Saturday nights at 7pm on ITV1 and ITVX
