Money Heist has been a massive hit with Netflix over the past four seasons and fans are eagerly waiting for the next instalment to land on the streamer shortly. But as they unpack everything that has aired so far looking for hints, one person seems to have found a major plot hole asking the question of where all the robbers are keeping all the millions they stole?

Taking to Reddit to express their confusion, one fan wrote: “I’ve watched up until season 4 so if it’s explained later on just let me know.

“I just realized that I didn’t catch or it wasn’t mentioned where they kept the money after the heist?

“If they kept it all in cash then that would mean bags of money to stash somewhere,” they added.

During their first heist in seasons one and two, the robbers occupied the Royal Mint of Spain and printed and escaped with €2.4billion.

User ktatev continued, saying: “No one is really settled down in one place to have their money stored at home, most of them are travelling.

“They can’t keep it on any bank account I assume since that’ll make them an easy target. So where does each member store their share of the money?” they wondered.

The fan also went on to point out that: “When Tokyo leaves the island in the beginning of season three she literally goes with just a backpack.”

Trying to figure out the mystery, other fans shared their own theories.

“Maybe crypto currency?” suggested one person.

Another said: “I guess the Professor kept it somewhere in Spain itself? During the second heist, he seems to have easy access to the money.”

“The gang will get in cash or other forms, the Professor will make sure of that. Berlin mentioned to the hostages they will get their cash in envelopes months later,” a third added.

Fans have also been trying to guess what is going to happen in the next season, with many focused on a new character (played by Patrick Criado) who is believed to be Berlin’s son.

Criado has been seen in preview shots and set snaps alongside Berlin (Pedro Alonso) and Tatiana (Diana Gómez).

Tatiana is, of course, Berlin’s ex-wife and one of the last partner he had before his death.

During the first season, Berlin was very cynical about love, so fans have been theorising that this season will explain why.

The prevailing theory sees Criado’s character starting an affair with Tatiana, which would shatter Berlin, getting cheated on with his own son.

Other fans however are wishing for a reunion between Berlin and Palermo (Rodrigo de la Serna).

A romantic relationship between the two was teased in numerous flashbacks, but since Berlin died before Palermo was introduced, fans never got to see them together properly.

However, the show is no stranger to post-mortem scenes since they brought back Nairobi (Alba Flores) in that way.

So, some hopeful viewers are wishing for Palermo’s death to see the two lovers reunited.

Money Heist Part 4 is available to stream on Netflix.
