Naga, 46 was joined on the BBC Breakfast sofa by Charlie Stayt, 58, as the pair hosted the last weekday edition of the news programme. Viewers of the BBC show will have noticed Carol, 59, was notable absent from proceedings as she regularly takes Fridays off but she was replaced by her colleague, Nick Miller, 51. However, before he gave one of the forecasts dotted throughout the latest instalment of the programme, Naga apologised as she said she was being “cynical”.
With the weather report featuring frequently during the show, the hosts spoke with Nick on a number of occasions.
It was during one of his last appearances the presenter apologised after she had just explained how the coronavirus pandemic had impacted her chances of travelling abroad.
Trying to move the conversation on, Charlie said: “How’s the weather on a Friday morning looking to the weekend? Nick’s got all the answers.”
Naga added: “Nick, bring some optimism. I had my cynical mood there, sorry,” but he also apologised as he struggled to lift her spirits.
“I’m sorry but your mood coincides with the cloudy picture behind me so we haven’t really worked this out very well,” Nick jibed.
