Elly (played by Jodi Anasta) was believed to be dead when Neighbours Endgame came to a dramatic conclusion last Friday, along with Finn’s (Rob Mills ) other victims Gary Canning (Damien Richardson) and Prue Wallace (Denise van Outen). However, yesterday’s instalment of the Channel 5 soap revealed she’d survived her encounter with the villain, just moments before his untimely death as his dark deeds finally caught up with him. As the residents of Ramsay Street try to get over the events of the anniversary week, will the mother-of-one make her exit as she’s put in the frame for her enemy’s death?
Following the gripping two-hander between the troubled character and Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne) on Monday night, it seemed Finn was ready to kill yet again when he held her hostage at a mountain cabin.
Thankfully, the soap stalwart was rescued by her niece Elly, who had escaped the fire set by the villain on Pierce Grayson’s (Tim Robards) island to get rid of the rest of his fellow Erinsborogh residents.
Whilst the escape mission was underway, the killer got his comeuppance when he slipped and fell into a grave he was digging, with a hosepipe he’d turned on to dampen the mud still running and filling the hole.
By the time anyone found him, the water had covered the murderer’s corpse but his niece’s mother had to check he was still alive, though she might have accidentally incriminated herself and sealed her fate.

After discovering Finn’s lifeless body, Elly tried to find a pulse and when her attempts came to no avail, she told her enemy exactly what she thought of him.
Trying to hide his body, the mother-of-one was then seen shovelling the dirt back into the grave but was stopped in her tracks when the police arrived.
The scenes then cut to the family at the hospital, where the shaken character was reunited with her sister, Bea Nilsson (Bonnie Anderson).
However, the moment was interrupted when detective and ex-husband Mark Brennan (Scott McGregor) turned up to ask her to clarify the circumstances behind finding the corpse.
It seems her former lover will believe she is innocent, but fellow detective Sky Mangel (Stephanie McIntosh) will think otherwise.
Thinking Elly is guilty, the police officer will tell her to admit to murder in upcoming scenes, but the mother-of-one isn’t willing to go down without a fight.
Unfortunately, her fingerprints are all over Finn’s dead body and with her frantically trying to hide his corpse when the police arrived, has she made herself the prime suspect?
Her daughter’s grandmother Claudia Watkins (Kate Raison) will also add to her distress when she turns up on Ramsay Street next week.

It will be next-level brutal
Viewers will know the pair are hardly best friends and it seems Finn’s mother will be setting up a dastardly plan to get her hands on baby Aster, the daughter of her late son, Shaun Watkins (Brad Moller).
Will she convince the authorities her granddaughter’s mother had motive to kill the villain and get a fake confession from her?
Actress Jodi, 35, has confirmed she is leaving the role after four years, but the circumstances surrounding her exit weren’t known.
Having survived the 35th anniversary week, will she be arrested and found guilty of her enemy’s murder?

Talking about her reasons for leaving, the actress said: “I felt it was the right time to move on, open myself up to other opportunities, and also move back to Sydney where I can spend more time with my beautiful daughter.”
