Our Yorkshire Farm fans blast Amanda Owen for 'selling out' and 'spoiling' Instagram page with latest post

FANS have hit out at Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen for 'selling out' in a recent Instagram post.

The reality TV star was accused of 'spoiling' her social media feed by some of her 327 thousand followers.

The uproar came as Amanda, who has won hearts as the Channel 5 shepherdess, shared a post promoting a particular brand of pet snacks.

In the snap with her son Miles, Amanda, 46, can be seen holding their sheepdog Midge and a packet of Crave protein strips.

Clearly marking the post as a paid advert, the mother-of-nine wrote: "A treat every now and then does no harm and Midge loves @cravepetfooduk protein strips and chunks.

"Sheepdogs are highly intelligent and extremely energetic so we use the CRAVE treats with 100% natural chicken or beef as a reward for good behaviour. #satisfytheirnature".

But some of Amanda's followers were not impressed with the promotion.

One wrote: "Please don’t spoil it!! Innocence, hard work believing in your roots!!

"Don’t be taken over by exploitation!!! You are such a lovely family!"

Another added: "Don't go Down the advertising line, your better than that x".

A third commented: "Oh no – hate it when people/tv personalities sell out to advertising."

While another reflected: "Not keen on all the adverts. Platform is changing from interest to selling, sad but appreciate it is a way of making money."

But others were not fazed by the TV favourite's move and instead showed their support.

"Great photo," said one fan.

"Of course treats will be part of the sheepdog training. You won't be losing this follower."

Another supporter added: "Thanks for the recommendation. We have a 4 month old collie cross so we need all the advice we can get!"

Amanda is the star of the Channel 5 reality TV series alongside her husband Clive, 66, and their nine children.

Together they share Raven, 18, Reuben, 16, Miles, 14, Edith, 11, Violet, 9, Sidney, eight, Annas, six, Clemmy, five, and youngest, three-year-old Nancy.
